Fill out this form if your character is planning on exploring one of the places in the Segments. A moderator will then have a conversation with you about what they will discover.

For preparations, please list possible abilities they might have that would help them with their explorations.

It's recommended by the guilds that more than one person explores a location for safety purposes, though going solo isn't completely forbidden.

Character name(s): Bakugo Katsuki
Area you wish to explore: The summer side of the abandoned castle!
Preparations they might have: Bakugo is able to create explosions and thanks to them hes able to not only destroy things but he can also fly! He's also pretty resistant to heat and in fact, the hotter it is the more energized he feels and the more he can use his explosions. He's also keen on his observation skills and can be pretty thorough when it comes to looking for anything that stands out.

Bakugo is lucky, because the forest surrounding the Castle on Summer side is fairly tame right now. There are mainly herbivores that take shelter there from the hot sun. So crossing the forest should be the easy part.

However, the immediate castle surroundings are filled with hedgehogs made of pointy rocks (called Hedgerocks) that are the size of medium-sized dogs. They are visiting from the autumn side forest and while they're usually not hostile, they get spooked very fast and start rolling in panic. There's a rush hour of them blocking the entrance to the castle until Bakugo can scare them all off. They do drop delicious mushrooms as loot, as they store them in their spikes.

Otherwise the interior of the castle is as it's described unless he opts to opening the dungeon door. What will Bakugo do?

Area you wish to explore: Let's say the Abandoned Farm (Spring).
Preparations they might have: Well, he does have both a horse and a wolf-dog party member, so that's useful! This is a just-starting-to-poke-around-the-area kind of search, while he builds up provisions and finds other folks who are interested in getting the lay of the land. He's tough, resilient (one time he and his BFF just... trained for like 72 hours straight, no breaks for sleep, until he perfected this one finishing move lmao — but then again, he does claim that fighting literally energizes him), and used to making camp in the forest (including foraging, trapping or hunting, and prepping game for being cooked over a fire).

He might also have friends along, I'll ping them to ask, but this much Yuri can manage on his own, and he'll be curious and do a lot of looking around... and fighting veggie monsters, apparently, but that's a bonus.

Yuri and his party arrive at the abandoned farm just in time to arrive to a Vegetable Monster dance party. Beastiary has this to say about veggie monsters:

After the major farm in Spring Segment was abandoned, the changes in Ellipsa took a hold off the lands. Any vegetable seeds that had been sowed into the ground grew and gained a mind of their own. They also learned to plant more vegetables that became the same. They live anywhere around the house and think of the Abandoned Farm as their own. Anyone who dares to come close gets attacked because they fear they'll get eaten. However... they never grew past their normal size so the threat level of them is relatively small. Onions can, however, make most people cry uncontrollably which gives them an edge in a fight.

However, since today is a dance party day, the vegetables are willing to settle the matter with a dance battle instead of an actual fight. They can't talk at all, but they will make dance battle motions at the party like they want to go head to head in a hip hop ring.

However, if they're attacked they're fairly easy to just destroy as they're not prepared for battle.

Area you wish to explore: Spring - Bamboo Labyrinth
Preparations they might have: He's traveling with his battle-ready chocobo and has thought to bring supplies with him just in case. Mostly he's coming across it and can't really stop himself from going in and taking a look. Theo is fairly confident since he has like 30 years experience of wandering to different places on his own. Theo grew up in the thick/dense jungle of Golmore and had to undergo survival/hunting training as an adolescent before fully being independent, as most male Viera are. So he's pretty used to having only himself and his wits. Of course he has his job stones with him so he'll be able to use both black magic and white magic of something comes up.

This is an open prompt in the mingle as well. So he may or may not end up having more people with him.

The first obstacle of the Bamboo Labyrinth is the Bamboo Warriors.

Bamboo Warriors protect the area around the Bamboo Labyrinth. They're nearly human-sized bamboo sticks that have grown arms and legs and are very hard to cut down due to the dark energies making the bamboo harder. They also have weapons like very pointy bamboo sticks and rakes from the nearby abandoned farms. Their goals is to protect their forest until the bitter end.

Magic definitely helps to fight them as they have no means to block or use magic themselves. There are five bamboo warriors in a group and they're used to fighting in sync with one another. However, if one of them is defeated or separated, it messes up their fight rhythm and it's easier to fight in general.

Inside the Bamboo Labyrinth is immediately a branching path into three directions: forward, left and right. All of them look the same from the start. Which direction is chosen?

Character name(s): Byleth Eisner
Area you wish to explore: Unfrozen lake on Winter side during nighttime
Preparations they might have: Byleth can cast elemental magic (fire, etc), stop time, is armed with a sword (and knows how to use it whilst combining it with magic) and lived a nomadic lifestyle out in the wilderness with his dad, so know how to traverse hostile environments.

He just wants to check out a potential fishing spot somewhere quiet and isolated while having pretty lights to look at, so he'll mostly just be ensuring it's not regularly visited by predators or has anything dangerous nearby. He's not gonnna go swimming or diving into it.

Also, I'll use this as an open prompt in the intro mingle if it's all a-okay to go there.

The area around the Unfrozen lake is safe to fish at. Predators don't often come to this particular lake as they prefer the colder atmosphere around the other lakes.

Byleth will be able to find animals like hares and reindeer that are colored like the northern lights. They come to the lake to drink before leaving again, but some braver ones will come investigate him. They're normal animals that have absorbed the energy of the Northern lights and nothing too dangerous.

Area you wish to explore: Deserter's Desert
Preparations they might have: Years of experience living in and traversing a hostile, monster-filled, arid desert environment.

Chipp isn't looking to go too far into the desert proper - he just wants to find a place somewhat familiar to him that he could potentially start to camp in. His own little Pride Rock of sorts.
The city itself doesn't have a harsh enough environment for him, so he's gotta look further out!!

As long as Chipp remains on the sides of the desert, he shouldn't be in much danger. There are some sandstorms, but also nice places to build a camp that provide a little shelter from them.

The only real danger are the Birds of Prey cacti birds.

These birds live in the Deserter's Desert. They can look like regular birds, but when they get angry they get cactus-like spikes all over their body. Some birds even get flowers on top of their heads. Be especially careful of the ones that look like birds of prey. They might mistake people as prey.

Area you wish to explore: Autumn - Mushroom Sanctuary & Flower Yard
Preparations they might have: **HE JUST WANTS SAMPLES**

Tighnari is a skilled fighter as a Forest Watcher. He is also a botanist! Which is entirely why he is taking samples. He wants to know, specifically, what the effects are of some of the flora in the region and document them thoroughly. :)

Flower yard is currently very empty, considering no one has actually died yet. There's mostly just some wild grass that has no special effect. So sadly, he won't find any special flora here (for now).

Mushroom sanctuary, however, is the home of various mushrooms with various effects. There are:

- Mushrooms that glow in dark (when consumed makes the eater glow for hours)
- Medical mushrooms that cure small ailments when consumed
- Mushrooms that make you grow tall or turn small when consumed
- Floaty mushrooms, make you float when you even touch them, but the effect is longer when eaten
- Gravity mushroom that weight ten times more than their size and make the consumer unable to lift themselves from ground
- Mystery mushroom that can either make user very lucky in finding treasure or very unlucky in finding curses
- Hallucination mushrooms that make you see hallucinations when eaten
- Regular mushrooms
- Poisonous mushrooms
- House mushrooms, that are big enough to be used as a house

In the future there might be even more mushrooms, but for now this is the list of mushrooms to be found from the place.

... on and the Mushroom people that are happy to help him with samples. Just don't spend too much time with them.

Character name(s): Hijikata Toshirou & Todoroki Shoto
Area you wish to explore: Winter Segment - Forest of Spirits
Preparations they might have: Since the Winter Segment is Shoto's "home" segment he and Hijikata want to explore a stand-out location not too far from the city! (Hijikata is a little scared, but he was a death mage on Avalon, and he doesn't want to look like a wuss in front of his fellow knight!) It seems to be approximately a 2-day trip there on foot, so they'll rent a snow mobile to hopefully cut that time in half. They'll bring along whatever fuel it needs, warm extra clothes, sleeping bags, blankets, provisions... they're used to long treks through the wilderness, so they'll be thorough in their preparations.

Snowmobiles do cut the time in half, but they'll still have to be careful of the pesky Snowskeletons who will try to rob them at any given moment. They might even chase the snowmobiles, and they don't get tired as they're... just made of snow and bones.

Nothing seems too weird about the Forest of Spirits to the normal eye, other than the fact that while it's a forest, all the trees appear dead. However, as Shoto is a Winter Power Holder, he can see ghosts/spirits wandering around the dead trees and occasionally go inside or come out of them. The spirits are mostly human-shaped but some of them are also just look like ghosts.

Anyone who walks close to the forest might feel an uncontrollable shiver go down their spine. There are plenty of whispers going "Turn around", "Bright Eyes", "Fall Apart", "Go back" and similar things, and even Hijikata can hear them.

How will they proceed?

Character name(s): Zelgadis and Hijikata
Area you wish to explore: Pumpkin Spice Trail, to start!
Preparations they might have: Zelgadis can fly and levitate things so it'll be easy(er) to pick those sweet sweet medical berries. (He also has a bunch of offensive magic from canon in case of monster funtimes, but his preference is to leave them in peace if they can be avoided and don't seem aggressive.)

From there, they're going to decide whether to turn back or press on into some of the ominous sounding places, but it might depend on what they run into on the way out.

There's no monsters on the Pumpkin Spice Trail (there used to be, but even they would get bored of the pumpkin spice scent and taste. If they have ways to fly up there or somehow fetch the berries, they don't get pumpkin spiced.

However, they should note that getting close to the pumpkins means entering the swamp that drains energy and the longer you stay on it the weaker their seasonal powers feel. The swamp covers a very large area around the pumpkins.

Character name(s): Mami Tomoe (followed by Homura 'why are you doing this on your own' Akemi and possibly Madoka.)
Area you wish to explore: Abandoned Mansion
Preparations they might have: She's a magical girl, who can summon barrages of musket-fire for offence, and also can call on magical ribbons to manoeuvre/bind enemies. Homura has her own supply of firearms, and can use her power to briefly pause time (for anyone not touching her) should they need to evade anything particularly nasty.

She's trying to find out where the Anglerwisps that have been causing all this trouble have come from, and is wondering if the Mansion holds any clues, as it's so close to the Forest and Airship station.

They will arrive at the slightly mist covered mansion without trouble as it's close to a safe zone. The door of the mansion is closed, but with a little bit of strength it can be opened easily. There's also a half broken window that can be easily peeked through. There's just an empty living room seen from the window with dusty furniture and a fireplace.

There's an eerie feeling coming from the mansion, but nothing screams "danger".

Area you wish to explore: Forest of Courage
Preparations they might have: Night Sky spent her entire life navigating treacherous and dense forests and generally knows how to get around well in said places. She's also extremely fast and acrobatic, always able to land on her feet and skirt around danger if needed. She can also use a staff to defend herself.

Ideally, she wants to see she can figure the place out so she can help future explorers not die.

Before the exploration begins, where does she plan on entering the forest? You don't have to be too specific, but a general estimate of the direction will do.

Area you wish to explore: Tree of Wisdom
Preparations they might have: Kaveh is going to pack 2 of their 5 complimentary meals for the trip. And although a bankrupt architect and a feeble scribe respectively, the both of them are capable of holding their own in a fight with the use of their weapons and their Visions, which both happen to be Dendro. Being in the Spring Sector will give them an advantage, since they can manipulate the area around them should they need to. Kaveh would also have his Tiger tag along to keep watch.

The journey itself is rather easy. There are mostly simple slime around (that are the weakest creature in all of segments) and some native to Spring Segments animals, mostly. It's eerie and quiet all the way with some very strong winds blowing from time to time.

There's nothing dangerous around the Tree of Wisdom itself so as long as the group doesn't enter the Cherry Blossom Parks, they'll be fine in regards of being attacked by anything dangerous.

Area you wish to explore: Abandoned Graveyard!!!
Preparations they might have: NONE, he's drunk and he might have also tried to get Guizhong drunk. I'm not sure what her alcohol tolerance is.

There's nothing too much to note here, other than the abandoned graveyard being partially flooded in the south. No monsters come to this place so they're completely safe here. Even the weather effects seem to be a lot tamer. Please be aware it's a long way home, so resting here might be a good idea.
