Well, he'll need to get inside before he can check out that dungeon door! The hedgehogs are pretty cute, and remind him of a certain spiky haired friend of his who can turn his skin into rock so he won't attack them like he usually would. It also helps that they're easily spooked, just stepping into the castle causes a few to roll away.

Since there's so many, he'll use a technique of his called 'Stun Grenade' where he essentially sets off a flashbang rather than a genuine explosion. Hoping the loud noise and the bright light will scare enough away that he can explore. If so, he'll make a check of the parameters, but the smell of blood is definitely something that will catch his eye- er, nose when he gets near the door. That's never a good sign.

He'll just start by giving it a nice tug. Is it locked or is he just opening it right up to the horrors that lay behind it?

Bakugo is successful at scaring enough hedgerocks away from the castle to get inside, hurrah! They stick to each other a lot so they would start rolling away the moment enough of them start running away.

The door isn't locked. Instead it opens quite smoothly to reveal the lair of a creature called Vampirebear that is around 16 feet/5 meters tall with grey and brown fur, scars covering its face and sharp vampire teeth. As the name suggests the vampirebear lives by drinking the blood of creatures and people alike. Hence the scent of blood and the blood around the dungeon room.

Luckily for Bakugo, even if the vampirebear tries to swing its paw at him immediately, there's a magical barrier stopping it at the door. However, Bakugo himself is able to go through the barrier if he wants to, as it's meant to be a way to provide food to the vampirebear.

How will he proceed?

Yeah that's definitely not what he expected. He thought there'd be a bunch of bodies and torture devices or something fucked up like that but a bear??

He's prepared to fight until he noticed the barrier, that gives him a chance to step back and think about how he wants to go forward. If there was any danger of him getting hurt he would just run in there and fight but since he doesn't have to quite yet, he'll instead take a chance to stand as close as he can without getting hurt to peer into the room and try to look around the bear to see if he can catch a glimpse of anything notable inside besides blood!

The only notable things that can be seen in the room is the half-broken staircase leading down that seems to be hard to access without a proper fixing first, a nest for the vampirebear to sleep in made with leaves that fall in from the small window near the ceiling and the magic crystal that keeps the barrier around the room that's in the middle of wall closest to outside. There are a lot of marks around the crystal showing that the vampirebear has clearly tried to destroy it.

Hmm.. that staircase sure is tempting but it's not quite enough to motivate him to try and get in there. Thankfully there isn't anyone still half alive in need of any help, either.. not that he'd expect much from the giant bear in the blood soaked room. There's also clearly a reason this bear is locked away with some magical barrier, but the reason is most likely in that room and he doesn't want to kill the bear yet (or get killed by the bear but bakugo never thinks like that) so for now he'll retreat until he can get some backup!

Nothing else seems to stand out about the place so far. The hedgerocks are still low in numbers and forest is still safe enough to travel back through. Bakugo can make a successful return trip!

Home he will go! (but not before messing with the hedgehogs for a few minutes)

OKAY BACK FOR ROUND TWO this time, Bakugo is bringing along with him his good friend Todoroki! He figures that Todoroki can use his ice powers to just freeze the bear so they can get on by, though of course it won't be that easy. Either way, he drags his classmate to the castle eventually so that he can show him the bear (and the hedgehogs).

First before any fights happen, does the bear react any differently to this new pretty face being at the door?

It has been a long time before Bakugo makes was last here. It takes almost a week to the castle and a week back (on foot) from the Sunwaning bridge. Even walking from the airship station takes a full day and half and it takes a two days for the ship to even get there from the city.

The hedgerocks have returned to the autumn side while he was gone but the vampirebear remembers Bakugo's scent still. The new face isn't as interesting than a prey that reappeared again and now it's been without blood for a long while before so its even more agitated and clawing at the barrier.

What to do?

WELL first off, the two of them have abilities that can assist them in a quicker journey there and back! Bakugo is able to propel himself in the air with his explosions and he can go as fast as a car, and Todoroki can do the same by using his ice powers to slide along the ground. Could that knock off a day or two?

For the real meat of the investigation, Bakugo orders Todoroki to freeze the bear and so Todoroki will start by forcing it back with ice spikes, and then he will immediately follow up with a technique known as Heaven Piercing Ice Wall which is an attack that encases enemies in ice. Usually he'd go big with it, but since it's a small space he opts for a room sized ice wall instead.

Having the ability to fly will knock two days off the journey! Hurray!

The barrier would block any abilities that try to go through it, so Todoroki would at least need to put an arm inside the room before attempting, despite the bear's claw being there immediately. (The barrier is made to block magic and abilities, but not living things or items)

Will they take the risk to step close to the bear or is there a plan that would help push the bear further away?

Alright, so there goes that idea. Bakugo probably should've tested the barrier before just assuming powers will work through it... time to be reckless!

Bakugo will tell Todoroki to stay out of the way so he can use the wall directly adjacent to the doorway as a springboard. He'll use his explosions to propel himself right through the barrier and hopefully into the bear! His hope is to push it far enough away for Todoroki to safely enter.

As the vampirebear hasn't had a decent meal for a good while, so Bakugo is definitely successful in pushing it back, but will also attempt to furiously paw at Bakugo in an attempt to injure him.

Either way, the rest of the plan can go as planned, but due to being near the Barrier and in the hottest Segment, Todoroki's Ice Wall won't likely last as long as it should in canon. But they should have time to make it to the broken staircase.

Be also very careful not to accidentally hit the barrier crystal on the wall.

So since Bakugo successfully pushes it out of the way, he gives Todoroki the go and blasts himself away from the bear. However, it gets him on his way out and leaves him with a nasty wound on the arm!

They're both quick to act, though, and after Todoroki shoots his wall of ice they dash for the stairs. Todoroki will try to make some ice stairs to supplement the broken stairs!

Congratulations, the boys make it down the new icy stairs! Though the stairs stop before hitting the ground due to another barrier (well the same one, but it ends there in this direction) so there's a little bit of a drop.

So what do they find downstairs? Several beds with natives lying there in coma-like states. None of them seem to react to anything. They've been here for a while, from the look of it.

Well that's definitely not what either of them expected! But thankfully the two of them have seen plenty of horrors during their time training to be super heroes, so they're quick to get to work. Poking and prodding and screaming to try and get them to wake up, but none of their attempts even stir the individuals.

It'd probably be a good idea to take them somewhere to get medical treatment, so I've got to ask: how many bodies are there and can they carry them out of the barriers?

There are, in total, 6 bodies (10 beds, so 4 are empty). They can be carried out of the barrier, if they figure out a way to do it.

Luckily for them, it looks like the stairs on the Autumn side of the dungeon are fully accessible. However, it does lead to the same room as the came from, just further away from where the bear is on rampage.

The more distance they can get between themselves and the bear, the better. Bakugo will send Todoroki out first to keep the bear frozen, so he can find somewhere safe to transport the comatose individuals.

His right arm was hurt during the bear fight so he can't carry with his arms as well... he'll be doing a lot of this instead to focus on speed more than quantity LOL

They are successful in getting them out of the Autumn castle side dungeon door because of their teamwork. The rest of the castle is rather safe and the autumn size has some furniture and rugs to lay the natives on. A good place to keep them safe while they think of a follow up plan!

This took a lot of brainpower to figure out where to go from here, but the boys settle on either finding or making a way to transport the bodies to a hospital. There's no way that the two Heroes in training would leave any of them behind if they can help it!

It's a castle, so Bakugo theorizes that they may have abandoned wagons or carriages. He'll go ahead and explore the autumn side to see what he can find in that regard!

There are no wagons or carriages... but! They are in luck. There are fairies who can use the power of teleportation. They can't teleport people, but they can teleport them a carriage big enough for six people and a some gauze for Bakugo's arm.

Safe travels!

Well, that's as good as anything they'll get! They'll begin the tiring walk home after wrapping that arm up and they'll bring them to the nearest clinic!

The natives are grateful to them and reward them both with 1000 Moon Coins (appr. 1000 euros) straight to their money apps! They will also treat any injuries and make sure they're alright, as well as take care of the comatose natives who will be taken to the Research Center for proper treatment after the first assessments.
