Bestiary

BESTIARY
LOGS | NETWORK | OOC | MEMES | NAVIGATION

All of the Segments have your normal animals, birds, lizards, fish (etc) that fit that season. They act like normal creatures would and are part of the circle of life. Generally they're the most harmless thing in the Segments most of the time. See animal transformations for idea for each Segment. Most, if not all of them, have magical versions of the normal animals seen in the wild - they're colorful and have elemental abilities (think of them being like shiny Pokรฉmon).

The danger level of anything in the Bestiary is indicated with Stars. The lowest level threat is 0 while the highest is 10. From 7 and above, the likelihood of a beast going for a kill increases significantly. They are organized into different threat categories, based on the highest star ranking they might have.

Entries with 9 or 10 stars are considered extremely dangerous so please do pay in mind when encountering these that the likelihood of character death is very high and they cannot be oneshot with any abilities, canon or seasonal. They are also coated with dark energy so using canon abilities is sometimes very difficult on them and you'd have to rely on seasonal ones.

If a location isn't specified they can be found from any parts of the Segment.

More entries will be added as characters start exploring the Seasonal Segments.

There is an additional page for Companion Creatures.

Districts / Roaming all over

From flying cabbages to giant rabbitsSafe creatures (0-3 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Cabbage KitesCabbage Kites are flying cabbages that are looking for the ultimate food (mayo) to satisfy them. After that they are able to pass on and the cabbage becomes a delicious, nutritious ingredient.0
DragonsRulers of the skies and master of magic. Dragons used to live alongside humans until the day they disappeared. However, thanks to the efforts of the otherworlders, dragons once again bless everyone with their presence. Their magic works well against the Darkness, even if it doesn't solve all the problems. They come in various types and sizes.
They would be dangerous foes if they were hostile, but current standing is that they're friendly towards otherworlders and natives both.
0
FairiesThere are several types of fairies in the world that lost their homes due to the tragedy. Now they're helping natives as much as they can and in return living freely anywhere they want. Some of the fairies are invisible and most of them are just pretty shy and avoid talking to people. They can use teleportation on items and themselves as well as find water that is safe to drink. Fairies can either look like small people with wings or different sort of winged animals.0
Giant RabbitsGiant Rabbits are Moose-sized rabbits that change segments between winter and spring every half a year (there are so many of them it takes two months for all of them to migrate). Whenever they get to the spring side they need help with shedding their winter fur and are looking for people to scritch them. As a reward you will gain a friend for life who you can come visit anytime when you need some rabbit therapy.0
New Guardian BooksFound in the Underground Library. They are floating books that will push people out of the section if they're being loud or otherwise disturb others. Attacking one of them will make the books reflect the attack back to the person.0-3
Moon BunnyMoon Bunnies are creatures that circle around the segments to bring the moon's blessings to all of them. They're originally from the Winter side. The Moon Bunnies float in the air as a means of travel and sometimes they sparkle like the moon. They cannot be adopted and if someone tries to take one back with them they will poof into moon dust and reappear somewhere else.0-2

Medium threat (4-7 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Dancing SkeletonsA species of Skeletons that love to party and bring all sorts of skeletons into the dance with them. They're the migrating sort, even if they usually stay in the Autumn Segment when they can. They make a lot of noise and they usually don't mean to kill anyone. But they do love mocking everyone with their "popular" dances.0-6
Fire DinosaurCat-sized fire breathing dinosaurs that live in the strange Warp Pipes. They can resemble any kind of a dinosaur in existence but they all share the common behavior of chasing people and breathing fire.6
Jack o'lanternAppears in corn mazes. They're creatures with pumpkins as heads on different bodies. They carry lanterns they use to try setting their nemesis scarecrows on fire. Sometimes void cats pretend to be jack o'lanterns.3-6
New Negative MonstersThese monsters are ethereal and usually look like small goblins that eat positive energy from anyone within one-mile radius. They appear when too much negative energy is poured into enchantments.4-6
ScarecrowsAppears in corn mazes. Seem like regular scarecrows until they start moving and using anything they get their hands on as weapons.4-5
Soul Eater BooksPossessed books that have malicious spirits residing in them. They can be detected by winter power holders, but even people that sense magical energies may find something strange about the books. Touching them will make the person open the book and just continue reading it, gripping the book hard so no one can tear it away from them. Their soul will literally be trapped inside whatever book they were reading (reading a horror book? They will experience the horrors a little bit too vividly) and will only be released if the book is destroyed. If the book manages to completely eat someone's soul, the person will fall into lifeless trance and the book will try to fly off with the soul.5-7
Toe NibblersVarious freshwater fish that live in the Warp Pipes. They have the habit of nibbling on anyone's toes. They can be eaten like normal.4

Lethal threat (8-9 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
DemonsJust a big, angry, red humanoid guy with red wings and horns that tries to kill you so kill it first. Summoned through certain recipes from certain books.8
FaeCreatures similar to fairies in both appearance and abilities (instead of animals and humans they can also look like sentient food items or plants). Instead of being kind and gentle beings who do harmless pranks like the fairies, Fae are sometimes malicious and selfish, using other creatures to do their bidding. No one is quite sure what their ultimate goal is. After the Darkness most Fae vanished or went into hiding, but as recently as August 2023, a group of Fae made their appearance.
While Fairies and Fae are similar creatures, both of them claim to be different species from one another and often take offense if someone calls them wrongly.
4-8
New The NightmaresTheir most basic form is a black, almost sand-like smoke that morphs into different shapes, based on what people are either afraid of or just uncomfortable with (they're essentially the same creatures that appear at the end of the journey in the dimensions). They get stronger the more afraid people are, turning even more vicious - even to the point where they try to suffocate their victims.8-9
TwigstersThey're monsters born from plants and trees that have been abandoned by their caretakers and now they seek vengeance on everyone. Traveling by foot underneath them in the dark is a sure way to get them to attack. During the day they're unable to move and can be taken out, but a new one will surely appear in the same spot soon before the night falls. They usually attack by using their dead looking branches as weapons, but one of the victims said they were also strangled (he was carrying a flower he had ripped off the soil).8

Winter Segment

Monsters made of ice and snow, and occasionally boneSafe creatures (0-3 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
BansheeMonsters that look like human women but aren't human at all. According to legends those who hear a banshee cry three times will lose someone close to them. Those who meet a banshee alone are destined to die soon themselves. However, most Banshees in the Winter Segment act as warnings of the dangers to come as they are very sensitive to sensing changes in the atmosphere. They are, however, not hostile themselves even if they look creepy. Crying back at them will easily scare them away.0-3
New BearriesThey're a type of herbivore bear that grow berries on their backs. These berries are highly valued as an ingredient in different desserts and drinks. Once they approve of someone they will lick them. If anyone tries to take a berry before that they will get offended and leave the area.0-3
Drunk YetiDrunk Yeti are fairly small and clumsy... but their hits still hurt. They're usually too intoxicated by something to actually do much harm.1-3
Fluorescent HareHares that glow with different colors in the dark. They absorb all manners of light into themselves (especially the Northern Lights) and then use it as a way to guide themselves and people around in the dark. Very useful companions in the dark caves if you can convince them to join you.0
SlendermanA creepy black figure with tendril like arms who will appear like a jumpscare and start chasing people. It never actually attacks - nor do attacks harms it. It gives presents to those it meets in secret.0 until proven otherwise

Medium threat (4-6 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
CacticiclesA species of white cacti whose spikes are made out of icicles, pretending to be just normal cacti with eyes and mouths. They only attack if someone sees them moving.1-4
Gem BiterGem Biters are very angry rodent-like monsters made of precious gems that eat normal precious gems and attack anyone that try to take them. They also hide inside the snow so you might find a gem and think it's a normal gem but then it bites your finger. Luckily they don't have very sharp teeth and they usually just melt gems into themselves - but even blunt as they are, it still hurts. They're as hard as diamonds, so rather hard to destroy.3-5
Ice SealsLazy, but very friendly, seals made completely out of ice that love hugging people - even if they're very cold to hug.1-3
Ice SlugsKitten-sized slugs that make a glue named Cooldhesive. If they find someone stealing it, they will try to trap that person inside the glue!3-6
Icicle PiranhasThey bite the moment they come up from the lake, usually targeting someone's nose or their ear (causing at least a nasty frostbite).5-6
Merry SnowCreatures made entirely out of snow and ice who are sometimes missing body parts and need help making them again. Some of the Merry Snows will give characters crystals or other precious gems that they've found in the Winter Segment as a gift for helping them.2-4
Mime MonsterA bipedal weasel with a mask that communicates through pantomime and is usually invisible. It has the tendency to create invisible walls and mazes. Usually its attacks are invisible as well, but they can be predicted by solving its pantomime. It can be chased off by showing it a pantomime it can't solve.5
Roaming CandlesRoaming Candles are candles with arms and legs that burn with a blue, orange or red flame. The run around to make sure all candles are burning and don't seem to melt themselves. They mistake anything and everyone as a candle and may accidentally burn people because of it.5
Sky OrcasA rare visitor of the winter skies that are said to bring good luck. They don't attack people, but instead ask that they play with their offspring in exchange for comfortable cloud bed. They do get aggressive if their babies are hurt and will bite someone to death without hesitation.0-5
Snow BallersThe Snow Ballers are jealous of people who have warm clothes on their person. They also want that fluffy and nice feeling! It's very cold, being a sentient snowball. Helping them get what they want will calm them and stop them from attacking. Destroying them will only make them reform themselves and become angrier. Even melting them into a puddle doesn't help.1-4
Snow BeaverGiant monstrous beavers the size of human teenagers. Their fur looks like powdered snow. They do a lot of dams on any watery surfaces - that they protect with bites.6
Spirits & GhostsWhile the spirits and ghosts can only be seen by the winter power holders, they're definitely always present in the Winter Segment. They usually stay in the Forest of Spirits, but they can literally be met anywhere. Usually they're calm and just wait for their time to pass on, but sometimes they turn violent and start bothering the living because they're jealous. They can't directly touch living beings, but they can manipulate anything dead, like dead tree branches, rocks and even corpses.0-5

Lethal threat (7-9 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Frost BatsVicious and bloodthirsty Frost Bats attack immediately when they spot someone (they attack with icicles straight to face). They look like regular bats that have a frost coating on.5-7
Frost GiantsThe most effective way to stop a Frost Giant is using fire, especially if you get them to swallow some, as it melts the ice stuck around them. Once the ice around them has melted it's easier to slash them or otherwise harm them. Other elements work fairly well, too, but water will immediately freeze on contact, creating more barrier around them. There's usually two emerging from the other side of the barrier at the same time, but the group sizes vary. They're around 20 meters/65.6 feet tall. To add to the difficulty the giants are coated in dark energy, making otherwordly abilities less effective against them.9
Frozen Plant OctopiDeep within the half-frozen lake there are plants that can be harvested for potions. However, some of these plants are alive and only show it if you get close enough. They will try to grab anyone and consume them. However, once the octopus is dead, they can be harvested like a normal plant - and you might get edible, very nutritious seeds as well. Some variations of the specie have learned to move around.5-8
Giant YetiGiant furry creatures that walk on two big legs. They make weapons out of wood and smash anything and everything that gets in their way. They seem to be attracted to big crowds but hate fire.7
Glamour MonstersGlamour Monsters are creatures of the darkness that are obsessed with all things beautiful. They look beautiful in shape, like long haired elves, but don't have any features at all in their body; they're just made of shadows and can bend into any shape and form, but usually opt to being in a humanoid/elven form. Glamour Monsters are weak against all sorts of physical attacks, but hitting them with those can prove difficult as they can blend into any and all shadows. They can use shadows as whips themselves.7-8
GrowlpoohsA type of terrifying and adorable small bear, who will try and attack people who try to pluck Glaciberries. They are tame when they have enough sweets.4-7
Ice MaidenBeautiful human-like maidens made out of ice that cause hallucinations to suck people's magical energy. If they take a liking to someone they will encase them in ice and add them to their collections. It might be a good idea to remind yourself where you are while inside the forest near the border of Autumn Segment. Hallucinations work worst on people who are mentally strong.8
Icy Hungry HippoHippo that are covered in sharp icicles that live in the Half-Frozen Lake. They look friendly and usually stay out of people's way - unless someone is fishing where they can see. The hippos do not like anyone to try and take their food. They have big mouths and sharp icicle-like teeth that they will use to attack if they see someone fishing in their territory.3-8
OctofishOctofish are a mix of an octopus and a fish and they spew poisonous ink at the people fishing them up. The poison is very potent, but can be cured by an antidote made from the Octofish tentacles.5-7
Snow SharksSnow Sharks are a variation of sharks that swim through snow. They used to live in the forest near the Wolf's Blood Mountains, but they've recently expanded their territory. They're vicious and attack anyone and anything that comes their way. Their weakness is that they can't enter areas with less snow, like the icy surface of lakes, or water as they will fall apart.5-8
SnowskeletonsSnowskeletons have two types: either they're snowmen made from bone or they're skeletons made of snow. Either way they're definitely not friendly and often disguise themselves among the snow to surprise their prey. They're not really out to kill anyone, but may sometimes accidentally do it. Instead they're looking to steal clothes and wear them. Basically they're notorious bandits.4-7
Warlock SkeletonsSkeletons that have been infused with a powerful jewel that has dark magic. They use this ability suck bones out of living things and make a new skeleton army. Their weak point is the jewel on their neck.9

Boss Level (10+ stars)

NameDescriptionStars
New GigantoadsThere's a Slime Toad twice bigger than the regular one. We call it the Gigantoad and it's a menace that appears whenever people bully its brethren too much. Unlike the others it doesn't turn into smaller toads when hit and it even eats faster. The tongue gives nightmares, it can reach so far!10
Ice EmpressA faceless human-looking monster, made of ice and crystals. She's always protected by armies of both flying and land-bound creatures. All of them are weak to fire, but those that are also made of rock will continue fighting. This monster can control the icy winds and create other monsters made out of snow, ice, rocks and dark energy. What's worse, the Ice Empress can also turn other creatures and people into her own puppets.10
New Vice Captains of HellSometimes the demons manage to summon one of the bigger names. We call them the Vice Captains of Hell. They have multiple different demons with different abilities. Each limb and head has its own purpose and they use them well in tandem. Using a flash to blind someone before trying to take their eyes or capturing someone's shadow to hold them in their place so they can be stabbed are among many of their abilities.10
WerewolvesFerocious wolves that walk on two feet during the nights. Moon gives them power and they're almost invincible during the full moon. They're territorial and rarely leave Wolf's Blood Mountains. Their bite is poisonous and can turn someone into a werewolf if they survive the attack or the strength of the poison. Usually werewolves don't leave anyone alive, unless they're trying to make their pack(s) larger by requiting more werewolves. They hunt in packs and it's rare to see a werewolf by themselves.10

Spring Segment

Kung Fu Ducks and Slimes and other things that confuse your mindSafe creatures (0-3 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Fabric SheepSheep that are in high demand because of their wool. Unlike a normal sheep their wool can be turned into any sort of fabric or yarn imaginable with the right potions. Their magical properties also make it easier to dye them even after being made into cloth. The sheep are hard to catch as they're quick to run and hide, but the lucky thing is that they're everywhere in the Spring Segment. Sometimes they approach people just to get their wool sheared quickly and efficiently, but leave right after.0
New Fairy AnimalsMost of them have fairy-like wings and can sprinkle fairy dust on people they like. This dust will grant the ability to fly for the next 24 hours (or until the dust is washed off).0
New Fairy DragonsFairy Dragons are a very special breed of dragons capable of dragon AND fairy magic (usually they're a bad mix). Their scales are more sparkly and their wings resemble more fairy than dragon ones.0
Giant ButterfliesA species of Giant Butterflies that are known as the messengers of hope. They give free rides to people so they can collect important potion ingredients safely from the Cherry Blossom Park.0
Gravity GoatsGoats that defy gravity. They're large enough to ride through the air, but also hard to tame to do so. Especially since they never touch the ground. They're easy to bribe with the right sort of food but can easily hit someone with their big horns if they're offered something they don't eat. Usually the hits just cause minor injuries. They're very protective of Fabric Sheep.0-3
JackalopeA mixture between a rabbit and an antelope. They're very elusive, but are very weak to the taste of fresh vegetables. They can use magic to preserve food for long times. Pacifists.1-3
New Monochrome FairiesFairies that have lost their colors and are only capable of picking up skeleton flowers aimlessly.0
SlimeSlimes live in all the areas of the Spring Segment, usually hidden from sight. They're weak and only pose danger to the most inexperienced travelers - and even then they're very easy to just escape from. They feed on soil, but aren't picky about the type. Some of the slimes are known as a delicacy called Dessert Slime, that taste like different dessert toppings.
They're not to be confused with their evil cousin, the Weapon Slime.
0
Vegetable MonstersAfter the major farm in Spring Segment was abandoned, the changes in Ellipsa took a hold off the lands. Any vegetable seeds that had been sowed into the ground grew and gained a mind of their own. They also learned to plant more vegetables that became the same. They live anywhere around the house and think of the Abandoned Farm as their own. Anyone who dares to come close gets attacked because they fear they'll get eaten. However... they never grew past their normal size so the threat level of them is relatively small. Onions can, however, make most people cry uncontrollably which gives them an edge in a fight.0-3

Medium threat (4-6 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Giant Mutant VegetablesThe giant vegetables are all sorts of vegetables you can find. Most common are the carrots and the cucumbers, less likely to attack are broccoli and cauliflower. They don't have any special attacks - they will just try to eat anything they find offensive. They're all very similar to the vegetables they originally were, but they have giant mouths with sharp teeth and mean eyes.4-6
New HedgemolesHedgemoles, as the name suggests, are part hedgehogs and part moles. They bury themselves undeground and whenever they're on the surface they use their needles to protect themselves. They can also use the needles as projectiles and ram themselves into things while curled into balls.4-6
Immortal CrabsImmortal Crabs are, as it says on the tin, immortal. They've lived on Ellipsa for longer than people. No one has seen them for three decades, but now they have made their grand entrance. The gem inside their barnacles are magical in nature, but don't grant immortality. Instead they make healing magic thrice stronger than normal. The crabs taste delicious, but don't otherwise do have any special effects. They appear only on nights when moon is covered by clouds. Whenever they're on the surface, they cause a lot of damage to everything nearby - sometimes even further away, as they move faster than normal crabs do. 4-6
Kung Fu DucksA species of sassy, agile ducks that love to attack opponents bigger than them. They are well-versed in kung fu and can use wind powers in combination with them. They're the same size as normal ducks.3-6
New Sentient SlinkiesThey're huge - big enough to trap someone if they choose to do so. They mostly use the hills to have fun, but whenever they get bored they target anyone close by. Once they manage to trap something they start absorbing their life energy to feed.4-6
Stone GuardiansSentient stone blocks that have arms that try to grab anyone who touches them and throw them into the distance. They're otherwise peaceful. They can be broken with magic shots straight into the gemstone stuck... somewhere on their body.3-5

Lethal threat (7-9 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Bamboo WarriorsBamboo Warriors protect the area around the Bamboo Labyrinth. They're nearly human-sized bamboo sticks that have grown arms and legs and are very hard to cut down due to the dark energies making the bamboo harder. They also have weapons like very pointy bamboo sticks and rakes from the nearby abandoned farms. Their goals is to protect their forest until the bitter end.5-8
New Corrupted Magical AnimalsMagical animals that have been corrupted by the darkness and look more or less like nightmare versions of animals that use different kind of elemental attacks.6-8
Fire BirdsBirds made of fire that live in the Breeze Hills. Their eggs are highly sought after ingredient in potions relating battling the cold. These birds are usually calm despite their apperance, but whenever their chicks are threatened they attack with scorching flames.5-7
Floral SkeletonsFloral Skeletons smell like flowers and are very peace loving. They're decorated with flowers and some of their bones have morphed into looking like flower stems.0-4
Gale SquirrelsSquirrels with the power to control wind that live in the One Very Big Tree. They don't like strangers and will definitely attack anyone coming close to them with sharp gusts of wind. Sometimes, they also throw nuts and sticks at their enemies. Usually they don't try to kill anyone, just chase people away - but they do try to drop people from high up, so the danger of getting killed by a Gale Squirrel is never zero.3-7
New Giant WormIt's 6 meters/19'6' feet long and it spits out rocks and acid. Despite being a worm it's very fast and rams into its opponent with full power. It can also use the soil as a weapon and make it swallow opponents. It mostly appears to eat and sometimes it has an appetite for people.9
GrandelionsGrandelions are large lions that look like dandelions. They mate with whoever, as the gender doesn't matter. The flowers on their tails turn into seeds and produce new lion cubs when they get planted on the ground. Newborn lion cubs have a bud instead of a flower on the tip of their tails. Despite being large, they're very light and often get carried to places by strong gusts of wind. Even if they look like dandelions they're still predators.4-8
Hurricane BirdsEagles made of steel that fly in groups around people to form tornadoes around them. They are challenging people to break through their wing barriers. Their weak spot is in their stomach.5-8
New Judo GeeseThese birds are twice the size of a regular human and use judo techniques to fight. We think they might have a black belt with how well they fight. They usually appear in pairs to protect the Kung Fu Ducks. Like the ducks they're also able to use items, but only do so if they're desperate.8-9
New Monster CowsMonster Cows are slightly larger, buff versions of cattle that will chase anyone who comes near them and try to impale them with their horns. They're still not any smarter than normal cattle and can be tricked with decoys or cut off from their herd with skill.5-7
Rainbow WaspsRainbow Wasps come in all the colors of the rainbow because of the pollen they eat living near the Prism Lake. They're vicious and will sting anyone if they're not dealt with first. They're fast and attack in different patterns they've practiced. Their stings cause allergic reactions even to those who don't have allergies. Basically everyone is allergic to them.5-8
Robot DragonsClearly man-made mechanical dragons that shoot laser beams. They horde scraps of metal and other mechanical parts and sleep on them in the Valley of Wind.7-8
Sentient Monster HousesThe sentient Monster Houses are made of very sturdy wood that doesn't catch on fire very easily (but with enough effort they do). Their sizes range from detached house to as big as mansions and they all have an appetite for anything living. Anyone dragged inside of them will have very sharp wooden stakes poked at them and their life will be used to fuel the houses and make them stronger - their life force will be drained even if they'd be able to survive in the house. These monsters are coated in dark energy, making otherwordly abilities weaker against the monsters.9
Slime ToadsAs the name suggests, it is related to the slimes, as it's saliva is favored by slime around the Spring segment. Slime Toads are giant, over 4 metres tall, and attempt to eat anything that's alive and moving (they especially love eating people that are arrogant and underestimate them). The best way to encounter them is to blow or cut them up somehow, as they will turn into smaller toads the more you blow them up. They will run away when they can no longer find things small enough to eat (so once they've turned tiny enough). Slime Toads are very slow eaters and will take forever to actually swallow anyone properly, so there's plenty of time to rescue someone who has been captured by their mouth.5-8
New WolfmothsWolfmoths are furry, fanged moths the size of wolves that swoop down on their prey and carry them off. They travel in packs and come out at night. They mostly prey on Fabric Sheep, but will also attack anyone who gets in their way and try to carry characters off or to eat them.4-8

Boss Level (10+ stars)

NameDescriptionStars
CactifolkCactifolk are monsters that have risen from the Darkness due to someone leaving their dead cactus too close to the barrier. They move every time no one's looking by uprooting themselves from the ground and creating a set of legs and arms. Some of them even create faces. If someone gets too close to investigate, they stop pretending to be regular cacti and attack with needle projectiles. These needles cause a lot of damage and having a hundred of them stuck to somebody will kill them (99 does not, but it's really painful) due to the needles having an essence that will activate at that moment. When desperate, they will try to "hug" their opponents - by body slamming into the opponent they're fighting. Their needles act as a good defense against weapons, but magic does at least decent damage. To deactivate any of them, one must flip them upside down and pluck out a needle... or alternatively tickle them with a feather.10
FaemooseThey're completely black creatures with glowing eyes. Not only do they have the power to stomp things to the ground and stab someone with their antlers, but they also have control over shadows and dreams. If one of their shadowy tendrils touches someone they will be trapped inside a shadow orb, forced to face their worst nightmares in their mind. Killing the faemoose will break the shadow.10
SwishersThey're monsters made entirely out of vines that have a giant mouth in the middle full of sharp teeth. They smell very sweet, but their breath is a trap that can cause either stun or petrification. Some of their vines are covered in sludge that melts through steel and some of them are rotten and can inflict their target with an illness that cause a high fever.9-10
Weapon SlimesA type of slime that can only found in the Cherry Blossom parks because of the rich soil there. They're dangerous due to them absorbing weapons and making them a part of their body. They're very aggressive and don't like strangers coming near them. Some of them are big enough to even swallow a normal sized human. There's a rumor that they're using swallowed up creatures to nurture the park soil even more.10

Summer Segment

Many things are on fire and then there's mummiesSafe creatures (0-3 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
NessieNessie are very mischievous creatures living in the Great Ocean Lake that somehow manage to slip out of a picture frame just before someone takes a photograph. They're peaceful and mean no harm to anyone. They just like to play a lot and escaping photographs is one their way of playing. The people are really desperate for proof of the creature without harming it, so they are willing to pay a lot. Nessie look like long-necked dinosaurs with flippers and are very adorable.0-3
New Sentient FlowersThe flowers will attack everyone, unarmed or not, and seem like they come in peace. They hold a big grudge against people who don't ask for permission before picking flowers. If someone can handle their ire for a while they might be up for negotiations, but fighting is also an option.0-3

Medium threat (4-6 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
New Energy Sapping JellyfishJellyfish that try to cling onto people and sap all of their energy (the trick to defeating them is to get them stuck together or destroying them).5-6
Fire RhinoThese rhino are literally on fire - or their horns are. It doesn't hurt them, but it does hurt their opponents. They live wherever is the driest and attack anyone who comes too close to their herd. When a fire rhino's horn loses its flame, it starts rubbing it against a rock to ignite it again. Usually they don't fight to kill - only to defend each other and drive away strangers.2-6
Ghost ShipsShips that are controlled (possessed) by ghosts. They occasionally take to the Great Ocean Lake and make chaos. Winter Power Holders will be able to see that they really do look like pirates...6
ImpsSmall demons that are formed from the fires in Summer Segment. These mischievous creatures often like to seek out people to make pranks and they'll even pass through the barrier in the city to do it. They look like small red elves with wings and horns.2-4
Hula SkeletonsHula Skeletons are the friendliest sort of skeletons who enjoy dressing up and looking nice. They can be easily distracted by showing them different clothes or even make up.2-4
MermaidsBeautiful half-fish half-human folk that can be talked with through normal means, as long as you do it underwater. They're peaceful and live in the depths of the Great Ocean Lake. Mermaids wish to help restore Ellipsa to its former glory and do what they can to help Otherworlders achieve it. They're great singers and their singing voice is able to heal almost any ailment. They are also great hunters.0-5
MummiesTroublemakers that are actually skeletons wrapped in bandages and who will comically cover their genital area and run away if they're stripped off their bandages. They mostly attempt to wrap people in bandages to make them like mummies.5
Pirate OctopusOctopi that are literally a pirate. They control ships and cause chaos on the Great Ocean Lake. They have eyepatches and part of their tentacles are replaced with mechanical ones. They're not exactly looking to kill anyone, but they do like stealing valuables whenever they can.6
Visible Ghost GoblinsVisible Ghost Goblins react to anyone's fears. The more scared someone is the more noise and sounds the goblins make. If someone encounters a goblin they will try to abduct, hide, and hold them hostage in the lighthouse lantern room. But once morning comes they will leave anyone alone. The best way to get rid of them is to laugh at them instead of showing fear.5-6

Lethal threat (7-9 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
New Adamantine SwordfishSwordfish that will wish to duel anyone with a sword (defeating them requires firing magic at their mouth).6-8
Cacti BirdsThese birds live in the Deserter's Desert. They can look like regular birds, but when they get angry they get cactus-like spikes all over their body. Some birds even get flowers on top of their heads. Be especially careful of the ones that look like birds of prey. They might mistake people as prey.2-7
Coil SnakeSnakes that live in the Rain Jungle. They're 2 metres long, as thick as (standard) human legs and eat basically anything. The snakes also sometimes pose as three branches as they are the same-ish color. They also spit out lightning.6-8
Doom DuneThey lure people into the Abandoned Port (2) part of the beach by signaling for help before forming into a sand monster and attack the people from shadows. The sand monsters usually take the shape of the person currently on the victim's mind, as they can see thoughts due to their ghost-like abilities.7-8
Flame Mane HyenaTheir biggest attacks are their laughs that will make people want to start laughing as well and their fiery mane... along with claws and sharp teeth, of course. They're attracted to fire that moves.5-7
New Flying CactiThere are cacti with green leathery wings going around, attacking things from the air. I'm saying they're using their needles as projectiles and diving down to give their prey hugs. Poisonous hugs, as their needles are coated in a poison that will slowly kill someone when it enters the body - unless they get an antidote, which is the flower growing on their heads.6-8
Gourmet GolemsGolems that look like they've been made out of konpeito candy. They love eating illusions and people who seem them. They're luckily rather weak to any sort of water and earth magic.7-8
Hell's MonkeysThey're notorious monster monkeys that can use fire and often have parts of their furs lit. They use flaming bananas and rocks as projectiles. They will get very offended if they're bribed with bananas and might try to jump on the person that does to set them on fire.7-8
New Ice SquidsSquids that camoflauge themselves and try to freeze people (the closer someone gets to them the colder the water is and they're weak physically which is why they hide).6-7
Invincible ScorpionsScorpions that are have a special poison that makes people sick, but also makes them invincible. The poison takes 72 hours to kill but during that time, nothing can hurt the person stung. They usually only attack to defend themselves.5-7
JungullsJungulls are a variation of seagulls (that are the size of swans) that live in the jungle. They're mostly mischievous and like destroying things. Usually they don't attack people, but if they're attacked they will direct their projectiles at their adversaries. 5-7
Killer CrabsThey're killer whale-sized crabs that have four claws; two of the claws are attached to a chain made of crab shells. They use these extra claws to whirl them around like a lasso, making the whirlpools happen constantly. They also use them to fight. Otherwise they're pretty much like normal crabs, in terms of sturdiness.6-8
Lava LizardsLava Lizards usually remain in the Lava-Ridden Land, but sometimes some of them wander deeper into the Segment. Due to living so close to the barrier they're aggressive and spit lava at their enemies. The projectile lava doesn't reach a very long distance. However, some of the lizards are like chameleons and can camouflage themselves into their environment. They're normally the size of an alligator, but some can grow even larger.6-9
Lich SharksThe Lich Sharks are undead sharks with either a skeletal appearance or their skin is partially falling off. Their bite can paralyze or drain all life/magic/touch energy from their targets. They're part of a ritual someone has set up in nearby caves. There are different dark magical crests hidden well along the seaweed.6-9
Parasite PlantsParasite Plants are monsters that will attempt to leave their mark on people. The mark starts spreading, attempting to take over their whole body and eventually root the person into the ground. It hurts quite a bit as the mark slowly spreads. It will take approx. 2 weeks for the plant to take over one's body completely. Samples suggest that keeping the mark in cold water will halt the growth - and making a potion out of the leaves of the monsters will kill it completely. The plants themselves are very weak against cold things.4-7
Sand OctopiA giant species of octopus that live in the sand. They come to the surface only to lure animals and people alike into their illusions that look like a refreshing oasis. Once the prey is close enough, they will reveal themselves from the sand and try to eat whoever is there. Their tentacles feel rough and have the ability to stun someone.6-9
SandwormsSandworms are sturdy, but don't have any special abilities other than very strong swings that send things flying for miles. Their insides are like quicksand, but it's possible to escape if you get eaten before you fall into their acid filled stomachs. They hate water and will retaliate if they're sprayed with it. They appear from the cracks in the ground.6-8
SirensMermaid look-a-likes who pretend to be mermaids to fool people into trusting them. They're also great singers, but instead of healing they cause pain and status effects. Being captured by a siren is equal to either death or slavery. There less Sirens than Mermaids, and they are trying to grow their ranks so they can destroy the other water clan and take control of the Great Ocean Lake. They hide their pointy teeth and spiky tail with magic but when they're exposed they bring out their true colors.
Ever since July 2024, Sirens have been peaceful and actually work with the mermaids. Though hostile Siren groups still remain in the depths.
4-8
Sponge LizardsNative to the Deserter's Desert. Sponge Lizards look very much like normal lizards, but their skin is very absorbent and feels porous when touched. If they're dried they will shrink back to their normal lizard sizes, making it easier to catch them, but the bigger they are the longer it will take the dry them. They don't have any sharp claws or teeth, but they try to eat everything by absorbing them.4-7
Toucan-you-notToucan-you-nots are, as name suggests, massive carnivorous toucans with beaks made especially for digging the ground. Their habitat is the Rain Jungle. They are intelligent enough to set up traps to lure prey and then carry them into their nests. Animals are meals, but people are playmates for their growing children to keep them occupied. Luckily the baby toucan-you-nots beaks aren't as sharp as their parents' but they're still rough with who they play with. And if they get bored they will drop the person out of the nest.4-7
New Undead MoraysUndead Morays are giant (10 meters/32'8' feet) long moray that have long time ago passed away. They search for merfolk to satisfy their hunger for life force. They're vicious and tend to lurk in dark corners of the sea for an opportunity to attack.7-9
VampirebearA hybrid between a vampire and a bear that lives in the dungeon of the Abandoned Castle. It only lives on blood and has been sealed in the dungeon for some mysterious reason by someone. Vampirebear is very aggressive and will remember a scent it's learned for forever. | Currently Extinct8

Boss Level (10+ stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Dark AlbatrossesDark Albatrosses are giant birds, with wingspan over 4 metres/13.12 feet. They're all black in color and have horrifying red eyes and their talons are sharp as knives. They're coated in dark energy, making them harder to fight than most creatures and they prefer to stay high up in the air.10
ExplodiesExplodies are bombs that explode for no good reason and cause chaos. They're resistant to normal physical attacks. They grow each time they're hit and cause even more damage. The color of their eyes implies which elemental magic is strong against them, but they try to keep their eyes closed for that very reason. Hitting them with the element they're weak to makes it easier to defeat them and makes them shrink - but there are other methods to shrink them as well, such as taking away their fire or just making them chase someone around. They "sweat" and lose material.9-10
Lava MonstersSlime-like blobs made of rock and lava that burn everything in their path, rising from the Lava-Ridden Land. These blobs won't stop for anything but their weak spot is the lava core deep inside them. Destroying that will make them dissolve.10
New Lava SharksLava Sharks are entirely made out of lava and are around 18 meters (60 feet). Their biggest weakness is that if they stop completely they will lose their shape and become a puddle of lava. Its main tactic seems to be ramming into things and setting them on fire or melting them. It might be a good idea to invest in something lava-proof if possible.10
New Mimic LordsMimic lord will copy the appearance and abilities of the first person who attacks it and use all of the abilities available to attack its opponents. The Mimic Lord avoids the Great Ocean Lake because if it sees its own reflection it will return back to its original form. It's around 10 metres/32'8' feet tall.10
WyvernsConquerors of the skies of Summer. These dragon-like creatures usually hunt alone, but there are times when one can see them in pairs. The instructions involving wyverns are simple: hide. Wyverns get their powers from the scorching sun and whenever it's cloudy they retreat back to the Lava Ridden Lands to rest and power up on the volcanic ground. It doesn't mean they're weak without the sun, but they just dislike the cloudy weather.10

Autumn Segment

Sentient Mushrooms and dancing skeletons, what could be more weird.Safe creatures (0-3 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
HedgerocksHedgehogs made of pointy rocks that are the size of medium-sized dogs. They're usually not hostile, they get spooked very fast and start rolling in panic.1-3
Water WyvernsWater Wyverns were thought to have gone extinct after the Darkness came, but somehow they survived. No one really thought about the unmarked lakes in the forests, but apparently they're big enough to host these giant creatures. All Water Wyverns are the size of horses. They're not exactly dangerous, but they do nibble at anything out of curiosity. Their tails are strong and can topple over entire trees.0-3
Wi-Fi MothsWi-Fi Moths are a species of special moths that feed on a variety of electricity and data connections by landing on wires and boxes that produce them. This time they have taken an interest in internet connections. They escape to the Autumn Segment after they've eaten they share, glowing bright in their bioluminescent light. Capturing them will allow the person to boost their internet connection for a while, especially if they keep feeding the moths electricity (like full batteries).0-2
New ZapperpillarsZapperpillars are the larval stage of Wi-Fi Moths. They're caterpillars with lightning bolt patterns that eat electricity, and while one or two is fine, large amounts can take out city blocks. 0-3

Medium threat (4-6 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Almighty FrogsFrogs that, for some reason, a capable of using all the basic elements (water, wind, fire, earth). They're the size of toddlers and are usually pacifists, but love challenging people fights. They live in the swamps of the Pumpkin Spice Trail.3-5
Mushroom PeopleTiny mushrooms with arms and legs that live in the Mushroom Sanctuary. They appear harmless and want to help people find the mushrooms they need from the sanctuary. However they also want to plant some mushrooms onto the very same people to control them. Why they want human servants is still quite a mystery.4
Skeleton HorsesHorses that look undead, but aren't exactly that. They've been cursed by Dullahan's to look the way they are, but have managed to live with it. At least with the form they take they don't have to worry about food or drink, but they do feel sad everyone is a little wary of them. They don't exactly like Dullahans, but the spell also makes them obey them until the rider is dropped from their backs.1-5
SpikeroachesThese creatures are a mix of hedgehogs and cockroaches and like to eat glowing moss. They will mistake anyone glowing as a meal. They also resist fire due to living in damp locations.4-6
Spirit AnimalsSpirits that have managed to make themselves a form that anyone can see by fusing with local fauna. The animals glow with a eerie light as a signal that they're fused. They live in the Forest of Courage. What's special about them is that they can sense emotion and often act based on it (if someone is sad, they will also get sad and sulk in a corner). If there are too many emotional signals around they will likely choose violence in confusion. The happier you are in their presence the more likely they're going to try and keep you around since they get more energy from positive emotions. They're said to be the number one reason for being spirited away.2-6
Storm SurfersFoxes made out of pure electricity that are very playful. They usually don't mean any harm, but their touch is paralyzing, especially to those who aren't prepared for it. They only appear during thunderstorms.3-6
New Weapon SpiritsThe weapons are spirits that wait for someone to pick them up. Once they do, they will take control of the person's body. The person's mind stays the same, but the weapon will move their body however it wants. If someone tries to disarm the person they will wrap thorny vines around their hands to stop that from happening. They look tempting to pick up and when someone does pick up the weapon they can use it perfectly.3-6

Lethal threat (7-9 stars)

NameDescriptionStars
Aerial PiratesAerial Pirates are monsters formed from ships that took down the whole crew with them. The souls stuck to the ship and are now taking revenge on everything and anything, trying to satisfy their empty hearts. While they're essentially ghosts they can be seen due to sticking to the ship. The cannons fire fog balls that will stick to their targets and form a smokescreen around them. Their blades are very much the real deal! Destroying the ship will definitely be the quickest way to deal with the monster.6-8
New Amalgam SkeletonsThe flooded portion of the Abandoned Graveyard has washed up and mixed up bones from all the graves. Now they're combining into Amalgam Skeletons. Larger than regular skeletons and missing some pieces or having others where they shouldn't be, they're attacking people to try and take their bones to get even bigger and more monstrous.6-8
Angler Will-o'-the-wispMost will-o'-the-wisps are harmless, but there are types that act like anglerfish. They take form of monsters and toss a "fishing line" out of a dark bush to make it look like a normal will-o'-the-wisp was trying to get their attention. When the prey gets too close, they will attempt to devour them to get more soul energy.8
Apprentice CrowsA species of crows that are learning under the Warlock Crows and do small elemental spells, like conjure fire or water at anyone with any sticks they find.4-7
New Dark FaeThe fae are all monochrome colored and have long nails and leather-like wings. Their magic can allure opponents, suck souls out of bodies and even sing someone to sleep. They have been completely taken over by the Darkness, never to be able to go back to the way once were. If someone approaches them alone they will be shown one last mercy: they will sing a lullaby to put them in deep sleep before making them a sacrifice.7-9
DullahanDullahans in Ellipsa look like knights wearing a black armor and they're surrounded by a dark, eerie aura. They carry around an empty helmet that they want to fill with a head. Their horses are of skeletal kind, but behave exactly like horses would. Dullahans are especially weak to light-based abilities, being dark fairies.7-8
New EntsForced to sleep long ago, groups of Ents have been finally waking up in the wooded parts of the Autumn Segment. Unhappy about the forced sleep, they attack anyone who approaches - or even simply people passing near the wooded areas - as they consider it their territory. Groups of Ents vary in size - ranging from 3 to 7 of them.7-9
FishfolkMonsters that look humanoid, but are otherwise completely like fish. Unfortunately they're territorial and aggressive and will try to stab anyone coming closer with spears.5-7
New Giga MinotaurA monster wielding a giant hammer appears. It's a 8 meter/26'2' feet tall Minotaur and it has anger issues. The more blood it smells, the more furious it will become. Once it gets in the mood for destruction nothing will stop its rampage. The Giga Minotaur will target people who are injured and try to use its hammer as a baseball bat to throw them far away. 9
Leech Vines & PlantsLeech Vines are plants part of a monster body called a Leech Plant. The monsters themselves aren't able to pass the safety barriers, but they can send their tendril like vines to eat different materials on safe zones. Finding the main body and destroying it will help the problem, but be careful of the vines as they might try to suck anything they can find - even people's blood.5-7
Lightning ReaperReside in metal boxes buried underground to attract lightning. As the name suggests, it uses lightning as a weapon, as well as a scythe that conducts it. If a storm happens to pass while in battle, it will gain even more strength to its attacks. Those touched by its scythe will receive a number on their palms that starts counting down, indicating they're marked for 'death'. The only way to reverse this is to kill the reaper.8-9
Maple CreaturesCreatures that have spent too long in the Maybe it's Mapleline forest and have turned into new type of creatures that look like maples in different colors. A bunny may have maple leaf shaped ears or a wolf may have a maple leaf for a tail. Another strange phenomenon is that if the creature used to be carnivorous, it's now a herbivore and vice versa.0-7
Maple MantisThey are giant (like 3-4 metres tall) mantis that eat maple trees. Their hands are like razors, so they cut pieces of the forest down and eat them like they're a bread stick. They usually come in groups of three at a time, from the south.5-7
MimicsMimics are shapeshifting creatures that tend to pretend to be something they aren't, usually since they don't know what they want to be. Sometimes they pretend to be inanimate objects, but most of the time they pretend to be other monsters. They prefer the atmosphere of the Autumn Segment. No one has seen what a mimic actually looks like or knows how dangerous they truly are.3-8
PossessorsSpirits that have the ability to possess people by kicking the person's spirit out of their body. Once the spirit gets bored and leaves the body the owner can return to it.5-7
Pumpkin ScarecrowsA species of sentient scarecrows with pumpkins for their heads. Every now and then they host the Pumpkin King Trials to try and see who is worthy of being dubbed the king. They have several kings. You don't have to be one of them to be a king.5
RattlevineA monster made out of two very spiky vines (entwined together) that moves along the branches of the trees. It has two what looks like heads that can and will bite if give the chance and the plant has bloodlust.7-9
New Sentient Cherry MonstersSentient Cherry Monsters regenerate when damaged, although using that ability weakens them, and can only be destroyed when you break the pit inside (which is extremely hard and resistant to scratching). Sentient Cherry Monsters are about half the size of their peachy counterparts (so 0.5-1 m or 1'7-3 ft tall) and are attached by the stem in pairs, so both cherries have to be defeated.5-8
Sentient Peach MonstersSentient Peach Monsters are large (1-2 metres/3-6'5 feet tall) peaches that hate people. They were formed when someone threw a peach out of the barrier and somehow they're very offended about that. Whenever they use their own peach juice they magically regenerate the skin back, but the fluid takes a lot longer. So the more they use the weaker they become. They can be destroyed by breaking the pit inside of them (but it's almost as hard as a diamond). They use their peach fluids and toss them at their enemies and the juice burns through surfaces.5-8
Shadow MothThis creature takes the shadows of people to become bigger and faster. It usually takes the form of a giant mothman. If hit by the vines, characters would start doing everything backwards. Exists in the Abandoned Mansion.5-8
TreanpireLiving trees that are also vampires that suck blood out of living things with their roots and vines. Once they've sucked the blood the flowers on their branches bloom in different colors. These flowers can be harvested to use in blood-related potions, but they can only be plucked when the Treanpire is alive.8
WarhogsWhile many think the name is a typo, they're wrong. These are warthogs, definitely, but they're warthogs with battle armor. Some of them even have spikes in their armor and roll into their opponents. Luckily, they don't usually attack unless they're provoked somehow.8
New ZweigThey're basically humanoid looking monsters who have been made out of dead branches. As long as there are dead branches around they can form themselves over and over again. They also use these very sharp branches to attack anyone invading their territory and their screams can temporarily paralyze those who hear it, giving them time to dive in to attack. Fire does work well on them, but they're also clever enough to dive into puddles and make themselves as moist as possible to avoid getting burned.7-8

Boss Level (10+ stars)

NameDescriptionStars
??? or "All-Consuming Evil"A mysterious black shadow mass trapped inside the Abandoned Mansion. It eats anything alive and grows rapidly. It has tentacle like arms that cause status effects. | Currently Extinct10++
Chimera BearsChimera Bears are extremely dangerous species that usually travel in packs of three. They have the body and head of a bear (face all scratched up, red eyed), back legs of a dinosaur, front legs of a wild cat, tail of a scorpion. In addition to their mix of body parts, they're 5 meters/16'4 feet tall and getting hit by one will feel like getting hit by a truck. What species of dinosaur and wild cats the legs are depends on the bear. Their weakest points that they're really slow and it takes a long time for them to get off the ground if they're knocked down.10
Ghoul Kelpies (Ghoulpies)Kelpies that have taken a ghoul-like appearance. They have a sticky fur that anything sticks to, sharp teeth full of venom and their mane occasionally turns into vines that stun or poison foes. They're highly aggressive, looking to kill and eat people - or drown them in the Flooded Woods. Their weakness is that they need to regularly go into the water to keep themselves moist.10
New Lord DullahanIt's at least thrice the size of a normal, adult human being and has an even eerier aura than the regular ones. Its mission seems to be making even more darkness corrupted things in the world. 10
Mud MonstersThese monsters take different shapes and forms to attack people and eat them to make their mud even stronger. People stuck inside the mud can survive for a while due to small air pockets inside the mud, but the longer it takes, the more likely they drown or suffocate. Their weaknesses and strengths are easily relatable to regular mud. The hard thing about the monsters is there are a lot of them, usually even at the same time.10
Storm ConquerorsStorm Conquerors are clouds that have traveled through the Darkness and have become sentient creatures of chaos. Whenever one breaks apart they're quickly reformed, but the more pieces it's torn into the longer the reforming takes. Those possessed by lightning will return to normal by having the electricity sucked out of their bodies with different devices.10
The Flames of the EndThey are giant (4 metres/13.12 feet) humanoid creatures made out of blue flames. Fire magic doesn't affect them, water doesn't extinguish them. They attempt to burn everything to the ground, friend or foe. The Flames of the End can be defeated by closing them into a confined space. Between rocks, into a box, buried underground. As long as it can't escape through the cracks, you'll win. It can be cut into smaller pieces and dealt with piece by piece.10
Warlock CrowsEagle-sized magical crows that usually stay in the Forest of Courage or the Silent Mountains. They can use magic (mostly to create projectiles to shoot things or illusions to confuse people) and because of their high intelligence they also mimic human speech. They love anything that shines and will attempt to steal it, even if it means they're going to have to murder to get it. Sometimes they murder just because someone stepped on their favorite branch. They're moody and very dangerous.10

Portal Spawns
April 2023 TDM

NameDescriptionStars
BubblefishBubblefish are lumbering, two-legged creatures, with fins for arms, a long, muscular, finned tail, and a big fish face. They are fast, dangerous predators while in water, but do not count them out while on land, as regardless of whether they are above water or below it, they can blow large bubbles which capture their targets. Once inside the stretchy bubble, victims begin to go numb, their body feeling like it's on pins and needles as the Dragonfish begins to cast various debuffs on them. The bubbles are tough to escape despite their appearance, but the debuffs are lesser when shared, and can be escaped with the propper application of mint or minty treats! Mint has the effect of weakening the bubble to allow it to pop, although you may then find yourself being charged as the Bubblefish goes wild trying to get that minty goodness.5-8
BugboarsThese are really more like rhinocerous beetles, but they are the size of wild boars, and they act similarly, roaming about in family groups together, rooting through the ground to unearth any edible material. They are highly territorial, and charge at anything or anyone who gets close. Their eyesight might be poor, but they make up for it with their antennae and the fact that these massive beetles do have wings, and they possess enough control over wind to lift themselves off of the ground at great speeds, or send powerful gales at those who come too close to their young.6
CrockodileCrocodiles with elemental powers of earth, leading to them being able to travel through dirt and stone as if they were water, these large reptiles often hide beneath the earth with only their eyes and nostrils peeking out, resembling the stone they hide within. They are ambush predators, popping out of the ground, large stony jaws open to crush their prey, but even once dragged out of hiding they are hardly easy to defeat. These crocks are stony in appearance and their hide is just as hard to pierce. In addition, they're a little closer to the size of a small car than your average crocodile.6-9
Flurry FlockWhite birds acting like a swarm that may deceive you into thinking they are harmless doves at first. Upon closer inspection, they more closely resemble a vengeful murder of crows with pure white feathers that they can use to reflect light so brilliantly that one can be blinded, leaving the flock's victim open to attack as they descend upon their prey like a group of voracious piranhas, claws and beaks as cold as ice as they try to tear their foes apart3-6
LavapotamusThese large hippo-creatures seem to be either made of or covered in molten rock that hardens over time when in the air. Usually they prefer to soak in lava and be left alone. Pulled through portals in an environment far too cool for their liking and with people so nearby has them aggressive and dangerous, charging down anyone who gets too near and leaving a red-hot trail of lava in their wake.3-8
MinosaurThis creature seems to be a horrific mash of other creatures, similar to a traditional chimera; it possesses the body and horns of a bull, a head like a Tyrannosaurus, the plates of a stegosaurus all the way down it's powerful back and becoming spikes as they trail down it's tail, which ends in a very angry snake head. There is no end of this creature's body which is not hard, sharp, and completely pissed off. If you manage not to get bitten or gored at it's head, you will still need to contend with the powerful hooved legs attempting to stomp down on you, and take care to dodge as the snake head on it's tail spits fire.8-10

Fish Swarm
May 2023 Event

NameDescriptionRarity
DauberThese dull, brown fish are not exciting to catch, but make for an easy enough day. They are slow-moving fish that like to hide in the vegetation at the lake floor, so they are usually able to avoid predators just by being hard to notice, and in this way they can grow to a fair size from time to time.Common
EmberfishEmberfish are named for their bright, highly reflective, red and orange scales, leading to schools moving looking much like embers underwater. It is unsettling, nearly as unsettling as their ability to heat up the water around them. It is not much power with just one Emberfish, but with a large enough school they can fully boil the water around them, which can seriously injure or possibly kill other fish, but doesn't seem to bother the little Emberfish.Common
Flail EelA Flail Eel is a strange creature, one head with anywhere between two and four snakelike bodies attached, named for the flailing appearance it takes when moving, or maybe for the whip-like tool of the same name. Either way, the description fits, and while the fish is not usually a threat to humanoids, it can be a real problem when the two are forced to meet by something like... getting one hooked on a fishing line.Rare
GarayanGarayan are a large, shimmering, colorful fish, said to grant wishes to those who catch them and send them back. They don't, but they are said to! Garayan are intelligent fish, and can use Fire magic, so it can be very tough to actually hook one. You'll have to find something that draws their eye enough to override their common sense, and then once you pull them up, be prepared for a struggle!Rare
GrocktopusThese are small octopodes who have some Earth powers, and prefer to live in burrows, and so can be hard to fish up, and when they are, they can be quite spiteful indeed. As octopodes they are quite smart, and may forgo a fight on the line in favor of shooting a rock in your eye or sneaking off and sabotaging your equipment before dropping back into the water.Uncommon
MudripperThe Mudripper is a somewhat dangerous fish, equipped with sharp teeth, but more importantly sharp claws on the end of fins that resemble hands too closely to be comfortable. It has some small alignment with Earth, and uses it to control mud in its' vicinity. It isn't big enough to consider people prey, but it is aggressive and territorial, attacking anything that gets too close. In addition, it can crawl on land with its 'hands' if only for a short time. They're said to be VERY tasty if one can manage to bring one in, at least!Uncommon
NarsharkNarsharks are sharks, sporting a single horn in the middle of their forehead. They are not so large that they might consider humans prey, but they are big enough to make a real mess if provoked. They are solitary hunters, and while they prefer to swim away rather than fight, they have the standard rows of sharp teeth inherent to sharks and have been known to seriously injure unprepared fishermen.Uncommon
PlacobreamPlacobream are a bottom-feeding fish, content with algae more often than not, although it will not turn up its flattened nose at an insect here or there. They possess somewhat hardened scales on their backs, protecting them from most predators, although their scales on their stomachs are soft. They are said to be quite tasty fried.Common
PriscleenThese little fish enjoy a spotless environment, and are willing to put in the work to make it so. While their favorite foods are small invertebrates, they also will eat algae and plants, a necessary step to cleaning up around their homes. They are popular in fish tanks, so long as you don't mind them rearranging any fixture in their homes, although they require real plants to remain healthy.Uncommon
Razorfin DauberA larger cousin to the dull-colored and slow-moving Common Dauber, this fish is named for it's spiny dorsal fin, which has been known to cut the hands of fishers who are inexperienced in handling this surprisingly energetic fish. One could mistake it for a large Common Dauber until they've been sliced up.Uncommon
ScrapperThese little fish are known for their competitiveness. They've got tiny, razor-sharp teeth they use to nip at the fins of other fish, and seem to enjoy fighting, whether it is with other species or amongst each other. They're easy enough to catch and too small to do too much damage when being fished up, though they've got a lot of spunk and will try anyway!Common
Sea CrowSea Crows are very similar to their air counterparts, with black iridescent scales that fins that resemble wings, although they can't fly. They're curious and pretty smart for fish, having been seen using tools to break open crustaceans and sometimes even just for play. Also like thier airborne counterparts, they have beaks and tend to hold grudges- if you fish one up the whole school is liable to hold it against you, and may even try to sabotage your future attempts to fish.Common
SignalfishSignalfish are schooling fish with a strong sense of community. They get their name from the bio-luminescent spots that pepper their bodies, no two having spots in exactly the same place. Signalfish communicate with each other by flashing their lights in varying colors, often organizing against threats. Every school has a Queen, a larger Signalfish which is the only female that lays eggs for the school, although when one is killed another Signalfish may take her place. There are rumors that Signalfish actually choose who will become the new Queen with their flickering lights.Common
SkiwidSkiwid are wind-aligned critters resembling squid, but the fins on their mantles are larger, resembling the fins of a manta ray. They utilize their wind energy to propel themselves forward in a quick burst, sometimes jumping out of the water and gliding for short distances. The only protections they have from ending up on dry land when they do this are their excellent eyesight, and the fact that tentacles mean they can traverse short distances on land. Still, it's not uncommon to see them ending up in unfortunate situations by accident.Common
SpoutfishThe Spoutfish are small fish with some power over Water, able to freeze or melt it in small quantities. They have a long snout which they use to squirt water at flying insects or to shoot ice at enemies, although it prefers to flee when confronted. They tend to school, although they will scatter if anything spooks them.

Back during that Octocat Quest ( I think it was May ) Kaveh took one of the Octokittens home. Would there be a book in the library with more information on them? Can it be domesticated? He'd want to do what he could to make it as comfortable as possible... but also it is still a wild animal, so he wants to try to avoid getting tentacle'd in his sleep. And if/when they grow up do they also spit that berserker poison? Do they need to get it de-berserker-poisoned... or will it not do that if it doesn't hate your guts?

I WROTE A LIST. Okay, not really. I will keep this brief. Also, apologies if this is clarified somewhere already!

1.) For someone who also has darkness affiliated powers in canon, is there any particular sensation or anything of note when they face off against the dark forces here in the game, or is it left up to players to decide what that feels like for each character?

2.) For the 8-stars, how difficult would they be as opponents for someone with little-to-no magic yet to supplement their canon powers, or someone who's got a good grasp or mastered the basics? I'm sorry, Jinwoo is all about fucking around and finding out unless it's just really apparent he'd be destroyed- which is why he's at LEAST got enough sense not to mess with the 9-10 stars for now.

3.) For the Mud Monsters (in the event specifically, but asking here as they're a permanent fixture): Does earth manipulation work on them? What about in tandem with someone who can use water manipulation? Are either or both particularly effective?

4.) In canon Jinwoo can understand monster speech. Do monsters here also have their own language, and if so is it universal? Would he be able to understand them?

Ah, just a couple more questions, mods:

1: Are the Dullahan considered sentient, and is their aura related to the Darkness?

2: Do lava lizards resemble any specific lizard, or do they come in different "shapes"? Like, are they all salamanders, or do some resemble komodo dragons, or actual alligators in more than just size, for instance?

True!

1: Great! Would they also be considered humanoid or just straight up monsters still? Would they qualify as something that could be turned, if not now then later?

2: Nice! And would any of the lower level ones be tameable?

Hey again mods!

General, two-fold question this time, but because Jinwoo things: You mentioned before that the rank 9-10 monsters tend to speak gibberish. Would there be any terms or phrases that might jump out or be reoccurring either between different monster species or in general?

Also, given this: do any (or all) the rank 9-10 monsters count as sentient?

I can't seem to find information about the jellycats -- what ratio of cat to jelly are we talking about, exactly? Do they leave wet/sticky patches when they sit on furniture or is the jelly magical and doesn't make a mess? What does it feel like to the touch? Can they be brushed or is the jelly "technically" their fur and grooming would include idk polishing them with a napkin? DO THEY POOP-

i'm sorry this is a little cursed but: are the sentient peach and cherry monsters edible? could they be cooked or otherwise prepared to neutralise the acidic juice?
