SEASONAL SEGMENTS

click on the image or this link for the full map. Locations marked blue are safe spots on the Segments. The "original" map can be found from this link.
Made with inkarnate.
• It takes 2 weeks on foot to the barrier/edge of the map from any of the bridges.
• It takes two days for an airship to get from the city to the Segment airship stations!
To explore areas that need exploring to expand on their descriptions, please see this link if your character is interested in helping. WARNING: Exploration may turn dark.
Each seasonal segment can be reached by a stone bridge leaving from the city. Each of the seasons has two access points.
Coldreach bridge: winter and spring
Dayrise: spring and summer
Sunwaning bridge: summer and autumn
Stormreach bridge: autumn and winter
The bridges are the only safe access points to the seasonal segments as the city is separated from them by a magically polluted river that will make anyone very sick if they fall into it. The sickness comes in a form of losing magical energy slowly until they're either cured or out of energy completely. The river, however, doesn't seem to affect the areas around it, so spending time next to the riverbank hasn't shown to be dangerous.
All of the Segments have three different spots that are absolutely safe to take a break in that protect you from both monsters and natural catastrophes. One of the is the flower yard, where anyone who dies will be revived. The second one is the Airship stations. The third one varies and is sometimes a little unexpected.
All of the Segments suffer from earthquakes that range from very mild to very dangerous. Usually one occurs in any of the segments at least once a week. There are definitely pits left by earthquakes everywhere in the Segments that no one's been able to fix yet.
Traveling in the Segments
Airships
The Airship will take people to the Segments. The traveling time is 2 days there and 2 days back. The Airship Stations are located as followed:
Locations
• Winter: on the border of the Winter and Spring, in the north.• Spring: on the the border of Spring and Summer, between Jungle of Judgement and Creature-nip meadow.
• Summer: on the south-west beach of the Great Ocean Lake and it doubles as a broken lighthouse.
• Autumn: north of Abandoned Well, on the border of Autumn and Winter.
Players are also welcome to assume their characters borrowed different weather suitable vehicles, such a snowmobiles, motorbikes or even chariots to take out on the Segments. Horses are also a great way of travel and districts will lend them (usually for a small fee). There are also potions that can help with walking speed as well.
Use creativity to make explorations shorter or take the long route! However it's most fun for your characters.
Teleport Crystals
Starting from the start of July '23, four locations on the map will have received a Teleport Crystal people can use to quick travel. These teleport crystals will take one minute to get to their destination, when usually it would take days or weeks.
Locations
• Winter Segment: Airship Station, Titanic Dome, Watchtower & Camp• Spring Segment: Airship Station, Safe Spot (near Creature-Nip Meadow), Secret Getaway, Tree of Wisdom
• Summer Segment: Airship Station & Lighthouse, Temple of Life
• Autumn Segment: Airship Station, Abandoned Graveyard, Safe Spot (west corner of the Flooded Woods)
The starting point crystals can be found from each of the Seasonal Guilds, on the first floor. All guilds end up in different spots of the area so no collisions should happen. Of course the crystals work both ways so you can also get back to the guilds with them.
More teleport crystals are being made and if your character would like to participate in finding safe spots for them, we have made a top level in the Guild post for Permanent Quest progress.
Safe Routes
New safe routes have been completed! These routes are protected by barriers to let natives to walk on the Segment and reach places they normally would not. These routes are part of the Permanent Quests that guilds manage.
Locations
• Winter: City to Flower Yard, City/Flower Yard to Titanic Dome• Spring: City to Flower Yard, City/Flower Yard to Farmlands
• Summer: City to Flower Yard, Temple of Life to Spring Airship Station, Airship Station & Lighthouse to Great Crossing
• Autumn: City to Flower Yard, City/Flower Yard to Winter Watchtower and Camp
Winter
Flower yard: Near the Coldreach bridge there's an area surrounded by fences that have various nevermelting ice decorations attached to it. These decorations are the magical barrier keeping the yard safe.
Winter has a reputation of being very eerie on top of being dangerous. Many vicious beings have taken home to this cold area.
This segment is 90% covered in snow and ice. Both bridge areas that lead to other segments have the least amount of snow, but even then it rises up to an average height person's ankles. The difference is that the snow there is wet and often hides dangerous black ice beneath it. It also snows 75% of the time - sunny, clear skies being a very rare occasion indeed.
During early evening and throughout the night, northern lights can be seen on the skies if the skies are clear. They have the potential to light up the place as if it wasn't dark at all.
As one might guess, the natural disasters threatening Winter Segment are the snowstorms and blizzards. When a snowstorm hits all you can see in front of you is a wall of white and the temperatures drop significantly. Without the right gear it's easy to freeze. Sometimes it's cold enough that the snow turns into sharp ice that has potential to deal a lot of damage.
Notable Locations: Original Map
Airship Station: A station where an airship can dock (just one at a time). It's not very well-kept and some of the doors and windows have frozen shut. An old lady (with ghost cats) who refused to evacuate when the world changed lives there. If you talk to her you may hear her tell the story of the Watchtower's old worker (the story changes every time as she has forgotten how the story actually goes).
Eternal Blizzard: The blizzard that doesn't seem to stop for anything. Formed when greedy power holders died during the tragedy. Surrounds the Frozen Falls completely, blocking access to them.
Forest of Spirits: A forest where all sorts of spirit live. Most notable ones are the ones that possess something and shapeshift in response to someone's memories. Many have fallen victim to the forest after seeing their loved ones and turned into spirits themselves. The forest usually draws anyone who is undead towards it and refuses to let go. Outside of the forest, the closer someone gets the more whispers they hear. Whispers of warnings like "Turn around", "Bright Eyes", "Go Away". Going right next to the forest will make a thick mist appear and a door appear in the middle of said mist. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Frozen Falls: A cave full of reflection rooms that bring out alternative versions of the people in the room. Also houses a massive artificially created place where dragons used to be held captive.
Frozen Lake: A lake that has a thick layer of frozen ice covering it. Shadows of huge fish can occasionally be seen underneath. The lake is rumored to be very deep, but no one recalls seeing the lake thawed. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Half-Frozen Lake: A lake that is only partially frozen. The ice is sturdier the closer you get to the mountains and really fragile next to the thawed parts. Several birds like to use the lake as their hang out as the lake is full of fresh water fish.
(Unfrozen) Lake: A lake close to the spring segment that's very cold, but completely thawed. A river connects it to the half-frozen lake and some fish travel between the two lakes to avoid being eaten. During the northern lights the lake is also visited by animals colored by said lights.
Titanic Dome: It's a dome specifically dedicated for those who have forms that are too dangerous for normal sparring activities to have a place to fight safely. It also accommodates giant forms. More information.
Unnamed Mountain: Looks like a very normal mountain. So normal no one has thought about a good name for it. Yet something about the mountain pushes people away. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Unnamed Mountain cave: A mountain cave with several different paths and some monsters and treasure to be found. For some reason uphill seems easier to walk than a downhill. (Location description will be expanded when explored more)
Wolf's Blood Mountains: A pack of werewolves lives on these mountains. Not much is known about the mountains. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Wolf's Blood Mountains cave: New The caves have several pathways and traps. One of them leads down an icy path and eventually into a room full of Blood Metal ore. There's also a magical circle of a friendly nomad ghost named Kai, who will answer any questions. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Watchtower & Camp: The only surviving watchtower in Winter Segment. This tower is protected by a barrier and is one of the safe place in the area. The watchtower may be old but it's in good shape and provides some warmth from the harsh weather. Outside there is a campfire that never goes out.
Notable Locations: Map Expansion
(All of the information has been given by dragons, who remember these places from the old days.)Forest of the Lost Souls: In the past the Forest of the Lost Souls is a place where anyone can meet their lost loved one and spend a healing moment with them whenever they feel like they need it. How has the Darkness changed it, no one knows. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Guard Tower: Guard tower of the Pirate Hideout, meant to keep a watch on the Northern Cold Sea. There was a rumor that it also held something else hidden. Now very much in ruins. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Heart Will Go On: CLOSED Has not existed before. There used to be pirate building here, too, that prisoners were kept in. New Currently blocked by barriers, as it turns out the iceberg houses an old pirate prison that's a portal to the Hell Dimension.
Northern Cold Sea: The northern reaches of the very, very long sea that has been partially frozen forever. Nomads used to use the caves under the ice as a place to hide from the pirates. There sea is almost as deep as the Great Ocean Lake, and mostly unexplored. New Apparently some elves have also lived under the sea. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Survival Fortress: The main settlement of the notorious Northern Pirates. It's built to help people survive even the harshest of colds and the walls are sturdy enough to keep away a Mammoth. Hence the settlement seems to have survived the Darkness. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Tundra Hills: A special breeding grounds for animals that prefer the cold. The hills offer several places to make a nest. Hunting has always been prohibited here, and there have been fights against pirates who don't respect the rule. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Spring
Flower yard: Near the Dayrise bridge there's an area surrounded by fences that have flower petals attached on them. These petals are the magical barrier keeping the yard safe.
Spring is very calm and at first glance it looks like nothing's wrong. However, it's all a false sense of security.
The weather is windy almost all of the time. Usually it's a nice, gentle breeze but it can potentially evolve into something that lifts the lightest monsters and people up. Due to being close to Winter Segment and being spring, sometimes it both rains and snows, making the ground icky and slippery.
Spring Segment used to be the most populated place out of the Segments, so there are a lot of abandoned house and farm ruins scattered around. There are also a lot of tiny ponds, rivers and meadows all around the segment.
The winds are the natural catastrophe that threaten Spring Segment. They have the potential to evolve into tornadoes or hurricanes and pick up anything and everything along the way. Sometimes it's literally raining monsters thanks to the tornadoes... though luckily it's usually just slimes.
Notable Locations: Original Map
Abandoned Farm: A farmland that was used by spring power holders. Some vegetables still grow on the farm but some of them have formed into vegetable monsters that live in the houses like they own them. The vegetable monsters are more just people trying to live their lives and will act friendly to those who don't show hostility. They will always offer rice bags since they have no need for them. There's a suspicious cellar guarded by sentient corn, however, that they refuse to let people go down to. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Airship Station: A station where an airship can dock (just one at a time). It's not very well-kept and part of the wall seems to be missing downstairs. The stairs are old and creaky. An old lady (with cats that look like half-flowers) who refused to evacuate when the world changed lives there. If you talk to her you may hear her tell the story of the Abandoned Farm's old workers (the story changes every time as she has forgotten how the story actually goes).
Bamboo Labyrinth: Right at the beginning, the path splits into three directions (forward, left, right). Going to the left will lead to a path full of traps and a respawning treasure at the end (respawns once a week). The other two paths have yet to be explored as they closed once a path was chosen and will open again in a week. New Underneath the labyrinth there's a cave with an underground lake and a waterfall. The lake has some special, nutritious fish and some precious gems. It's also a host to a young ghost girl in a magical circle who loves to talk about the Spring Segment. (Location description will further expand when explored)
Breeze Hills: A set of hills where wind blows most of the time. This used to be the perfect place to fly your kites, but now it's mostly a breeding spot for various dangerous birds. It's a good place to practice your flying skills, after all. Various bushes provide good shelter for their eggs. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Cherry Blossom Parks: Beautiful natural parks full of cherry blossom trees. These trees drop their flowers every two weeks and grow new ones soon after. The petals have often been harvested to use for potions and cosmetics. After the change, however, the park has been invaded by territorial monsters that don't really care for the petals, but seem to be more interested in the ground beneath the trees. At night, eerie sounds can be heard from the park. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Creature-nip Meadow: A meadow that used to be maintained to grow plants that would help people tame animals. As the name suggests there are several different plants meant for different creatures. With the change in the world the meadow has adapted and grown even more types of plants. Even ones that would affect people and monsters. That's why the meadow might have any kinds of monsters or animals around, but they're usually tame... or they want to mate.
Farmlands: An area filled with plots full of different vegetables and other useful plants. Each plot is protected by barrier stones. These plots can be used by anyone if there's nothing growing on them already.
One Very Big Tree: A 20 story height tree that affects people's personalities as they climb, making their personality "flip" into opposite of their normal personality. It's also a place to harvest feathers of a great monstrous birds that give weapons the ability to fly back into the users' hands.
Prism Lake: A beautiful lake that sparkles in all the colors of the rainbow when sun shines on it. The surrounding trees have rainbow colored leaves due to getting water from the lake. All rocks at the bottom are like crystals in various colors and even the fish are affected by the lake. The fish taste different based on what color they are (most popular one has been yellow, as it gives the fish a lemon like taste). Beautiful lotuses loom on the surface of the lake.
Safe Spot: An area protected by barrier stones underneath a flowering tree, surrounded mostly by normal catnip.
Secret Getaway: A small pond surrounded by spring flowers. One of the safest place in Spring as the creatures are naturally repelled by these particular flowers. It's a great place to rest for a while.
Tree of Wisdom: Tree that is said to help anyone with a problem they might have as long as it's magic related. However, there's always a price to pay and it may not be worth the help itself - so if someone suggests you visit the tree, your problem is considered very difficult. The answers come from the winds, rather than the tree itself.
Valley of Wind: Used to be one of the first villages made to the seasonal segments, but was destroyed by tornadoes that were formed when greedy power holders died during the tragedy. Occasionally it has winds that lift creatures and people alike and tosses them towards the Darkness.
Weird Mirror Tree: A giant cherry blossom tree with a door that has stairs behind it. At the bottom of the stairs one will find a lot of mirrors (approx. 20).
Each mirror tells a different tale: it shows those reflected on them in different Worlds. Some they might not know, some they might have heard about already from others. One of the mirrors shows an alternative reality from their home.
If the mirror is touched, the people on the reflection will assume the role reflected on the mirror, both mentally and physically. (ie. if the mirror shows them as Disney Characters, they're now Disney Characters).
The switch remains from 24 hours to 1 whole week, depending on player choice OR until the mirror is touched again OR another mirror is touched. Otherwise the place is just a room with nothing interesting.
Notable Locations: Map Expansion
(All of the information has been given by dragons, who remember these places from the old days.)Abandoned Magic Tower: One of headquarters of the most powerful witches and wizards. A place where magic was at its strongest and only those with a high resistance to being overwhelmed by so much energy could enter. Now in ruins and the traces of magic are only a fraction of what they once were. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Crescent Moon Lake: Those who bath in the crescent moon lake, under the crescent moonlight, are said to be blessed with youth. The lake has a magical effect that will help one's body relax and become a less stiff. It's possible the Darkness has altered its effect. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Fairy Garden: A garden full of magical herbs. These herbs are so powerful they could even revive someone from fatal injuries or wake up secret abilities in a person. It used to be protected by the strongest fairies in the world. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Fairy Kingdom: The home of the Fairy Queen. A kingdom full of magic and beauty, where anyone is welcomed as a quest. However, people were warned of the danger of never wanting to leave and some have been rumored to turn into fairies. Partially in ruins. New Reclaimed by the fairies September 2024. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Village of Songs: A village where all magic users sang to use their craft. It was the only known place that the art of magical songs was discovered. Now abandoned and in ruins. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Winding Path: A path between two small forests that always has pleasant winds. It was rumored that anyone who went there would be able to ask the winds for guidance and get an "Eureka" moment. No one is sure if that was actually true. The forests themselves have various animals. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Summer
Flower yard: Near the Sunwaning bridge there's an area surrounded by fences that have vines wrapped all over them. These vines are the magical barrier keeping the yard safe.
Unlike the other segments, summer segment has only been described as one thing: dangerous. It's just a vibe people have found easiest to describe the place.
Summer Segment usually is usually very, very warm. Scorching hot. There's usually no humidity and the air can feel like you're breathing in actual fire at its worst. Sometimes, very rarely, the clouds give some much needed shade, but no one should ever count it lasting for too long.
You'd think there'd be plenty of water to drink thanks to the lake in the middle of the Segment, but sadly, the whole lake is filled with saltwater. A lot of people are very salty about that.
The natural catastrophes that threaten the Summer Segment are both very much heat related: extreme drought and wildfires. It does rain in the Summer Segment, but only in some particular parts. Anywhere else there is always the danger of something catching on fire and spreading. Luckily magic repairs whatever green the fire destroys, at least.
Notable Locations: Original Map
Abandoned Castle: A mysterious castle that stands on the border of Summer and Autumn Segments, surrounded by a thick forest. New During early 2025, the dragons have repurposed the castle to be their sanctuary. There are no longer walls separating the two sides and all the rooms have a dragon living in them. Some even have hoards of things they love. A lot of the dragonkin live there and teach otherwolders new dragon blessed powers.
Old description
On the Summer side the castle looks like it's been partially destroyed. Even inside everything is in a horrible shape, with walls and ceilings looking like they might collapse any moment. There are no decorations or furniture anywhere, just plain walls and broken down statues. In the middle, where Autumn starts, there is a barricade made of stones that have fallen from the ceiling. The only ways to get to the Autumn side are either through the forest or through the dungeon, but the door to the dungeon hadn't been opened due to the scent of blood coming from behind it. There were two things hidden under the castle: a vicious vampirebear, blocked in with barrier spells, and comatose natives. The natives have since been rescued and the vampirebear was later killed.
Underneath the forest, there used to be a magical circle that hosted the ghost of a young boy that died in the Tragedy.
Abandoned Port & the Abandoned Ship: One of the two ports still remaining at the Great Ocean Lake. It has been abandoned a long time ago due to monsters invading the place and making it their home. Even a ship is still anchored near the shore, full of treasures from the lake and monsters that prefer to sleep on the waves. Abandoned Ship is full of gold treasure and Octokitties, who very much don't like strangers (unless they're kittens) (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Abandoned Port 2: One of the two ports still remaining at the Great Ocean Lake. This one was abandoned because of the eerie light posts that appeared near the beach. They seem to be draining all energy out of all living things and making the area dangerous. Even monsters tend to stay away, aside from those that are already dead to begin with. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Airship Station & Lighthouse: A station where an airship can dock (just one at a time) that used to be an important lighthouse. It's not very well-kept and there's moss growing all over the building. An old lady (with cats that look like small versions of tigers and lions) who refused to evacuate when the world changed lives there. If you talk to her you may hear her tell the story of the Abandoned Castle's old owners (the story changes every time as she has forgotten how the story actually goes). The lighthouse light no longer works.
Deserter's Desert: Simple desert with some ruins at the center that still provide shelter from the sudden sandstorms. It never rains on these parts and all oasis's are definitely mirages. Special cacti grow here and provide medicine that's used for several different illnesses. Unfortunately all of the cacti seem to attract monsters for the very same reason. Rumor has it there's also a cave beneath the sand, but no one's found it before. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Forever Fall: Remains of a great waterfall. It used to be a beautiful site with clear water and fruit trees. Now there are some fruit trees still hanging around stubbornly but otherwise the site leads straight out of the barrier into the darkness. You can see water evaporating as it hits the ground below. The barrier stops anyone from actually falling through.
Great Crossing: One of the ways to cross the river leading from the Great Ocean Lake to the Forever Fall. There's no one to watch over the bridge maintenance so crossing it hasn't crossed anyone's minds (heh) but it is the fastest way to the other side. The buildings the bridge is attached to used to be observational towers and the view from them is breathtaking... well if you don't look at the Darkness side.
Great Ocean Lake: A lake that is full of salt water. It's quite large for a lake, but not large enough to be called an ocean. It's deep and has plenty of caves for anyone to explore. It used to be a hot spot for treasure hunters but after the tragedy no one's dared to see what's under the surface. There are some huge rocks that animals and monsters perch on and there are some beautiful coral reefs all over the ocean. Even the surroundings are like a normal ocean beach would be.
Great Ocean Lake Caves: Caves that hold various small treasures and herbs used in potions. (Location description will be expanded when explored further).
Jungle of Judgement: A fierce and dangerous jungle that has cost many adventurers their lives even before the tragedy. It's full of dangerous falls and monsters that make use of the unsteady landscape to its fullest. The thick vegetation is also hard to pass through. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Lava Ridden Land: Formed when the first greedy power holder died during the tragedy. A charred wasteland that occasionally breaks to burst into lava geysers. Wyverns occasionally power up here.
Rain Jungle: A forest that is has been named like it has because it rains there 90% of the time. The trees are tall and block the view to the rest of the segment from the city. It's definitely got the qualities of both rain forests and jungles. There are also several smaller waterfalls and clearly man made bridges and shelters all around that haven't been used for ages. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Rain Jungle Ruins: Ruins with various puzzles that open doors and with reversed gravity. The first room has a maze in the roof and an unknown, sparkly scaled entity circling around it. The room after that holds a "boss monster" that protects gravity orbs. There are only a few orbs left, but they are firmly protected by the monster.
Temple of Life: A strange temple that is said to be one of the safest place in the Summer Segment... well, at least the surroundings of it. Monsters and other creatures avoid even coming to the clearing surrounding the temple. It's an ideal place to take a break. There's even a water source in the form of a big fountain and the fruit trees that have been deemed safe. However, anyone who has gone inside the temple itself has never returned. Inside the Temple of Life there's a video game simulator called the Gigaman. It consists of four stages with four bosses and everyone gets three lives to pass a stage. Natives die when they're killed, otherworlders get booted out.
Notable Locations: Map Expansion
(All of the information has been given by dragons, who remember these places from the old days. They note that the crystals appearing in the south are a new addition.)Des(s)ert of Illusions: A very big desert. As the name implies, illusions are a frequent theme, but there are actually settlements and even oases that are very much real. Some people used to live there and use camels to travel through it. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Flaming Grassland: A grassland that burns with an eternal flame. It's considered one of the mysteries of Ellipsa. The fire doesn't burn, even if it feels uncomfortably warm. The grass could be used for various potions. (Location description updated upon exploration)
House in a Tree: This didn't exist before. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Lost City of Memories: A place was where memories were stored in to keep safe. It was also the place one could go to remember something they might have forgotten from the past. Scholars that practiced alchemy lived there. New Seems to have darkness corrupted plants that show and absorb memories, as well as a market place full of old items. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Mountains of Death: This didn't exist before. In its place used to be a vast jungle. It is, however, close to the place where the person who absorbed other seasons passed away, so it may be connected. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Savannah Daze: Once a great savannah, now a lava-burned wasteland. There are still signs of the greatness it used to be. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Sunsprout City: A city that shut its doors to all outsiders, located between the Lower Great ocean Lake and a big Savannah. The citizens seemed to live longer than an average person, but no one knows much more about them due to the secrecy. Sometimes they visited other settlements to scout new members for the city. Rumor has it, however, that they were building an army. Now in complete ruins. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Temple of Death: Counterpart of the Temple of Life. No one knows what exists inside the Temple of Death - no one has dared to open the door because of the temple's name.
New Temple has a series of different trials and traps, and boss monsters based on the seven deadly sins. Gluttony, Sloth and Lust are still undefeated, waiting in the temple. All of the bosses are protecting various different treasure. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Autumn
Flower yard: Near the Stormreach bridge there's an area surrounded by fences that have various colorful and fake mushrooms attached to them. These mushroom are the magical barrier keeping the yard safe.
Autumn Segment has a reputation of being on a more weird and crazy side. It's just as dangerous as the other places, but also just plain weird.
The whole west side of the segment is covered in a big forest that used to go even further into the horizon back in the day. There are no larger lakes, but some ponds can be found in the forests. There are also giant puddles that are almost like ponds whenever it rains - and it rains 75% of the time.
The main natural catastrophes threatening the Autumn Segment are severe thunderstorms and floods due to the heavy rains the storms bring. Thunderstorms cause havoc especially in the forests by taking down massive amount of trees - or in some cases, taking trees with them and tossing them at unexpecting people. During the thunderstorms, most monsters find shelter underground or temporary flee to the Darkness.
The best warning you'll have about a disaster coming your way is when monsters abandon a fight against you or when the clouds travel against the winds on the sky.
On the Autumn side the castle looks like it's been worn down by time. Even the interior of the castle looks like it was abandoned with all of the furniture (now covered in dust and spider webs) left as they were. The decorations and furniture are all colored in autumn colors. In the middle, where Summer starts, there is a barricade made of stones that have fallen from the ceiling. The only ways to get to the Summer side are either through the forest or through the dungeon, but the door to the dungeon hadn't been opened due to the scent of blood coming from behind it. There were two things hidden under the castle: a vicious vampirebear, blocked in with barrier spells, and comatose natives. The vampirebear was later killed.
Abandoned Graveyard: A partially flooded graveyard that was used to hold parties to honor the souls that were lost. Has some very witty texts on the tombstones as the ones who died wished to leave something funny behind. Despite being a graveyard, this is one of the safest place to be in Autumn as the graves themselves protect the area from monsters.
Abandoned Mansion: Some people call this mansion the haunted mansion and they wouldn't be wrong. It's home to some spirits that like to do pranks on people. They're not very malicious, but they do take their pranks a little too far sometimes. It's the basement that people are most scared about, because anyone who has gone in has never come back. Unidentified highly dangerous shadow creature lived in the mansion, which is why it was sealed off by the native power holders. After January 2024, the creature now known as "All-Consuming Evil" has been defeated and the Abandoned Mansion can now be freely explored again.
Abandoned Well: This well is very deep and clearly has water on the bottom as you can take buckets of water up... but for some reason it's salty...? Rumor has it the well might lead somewhere, but no one's wanted to go down because of the ominous croaks that echo in the well. Croaking has stopped, as someone rescued the baby frogs stuck in the well. The Well includes a series of mazes and traps with a lot of spiders and a Spider Queen. The water is salty due to the tears of the queen.
Airship Station: A station where an airship can dock (just one at a time). It's not very well-kept and smells like very old wood. An old lady (with will-o'-the-wisp like spirit cats) who refused to evacuate when the world changed lives there. If you talk to her you may hear her tell the story of the Abandoned Mansions' old owners (the story changes every time as she has forgotten how the story actually goes).
Flooded Woods: Forest that's half underwater. Formed when greedy power holders died during the tragedy. All sort of dangerous water monsters live underwater so traveling on trees is very recommended. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Forest of Courage: A forest full of dangerous creatures and hidden pitfalls. Parts of the forest have a thick mist covering them and the mist hides various spiritual animals that react to what someone is feeling. Some of the trees contain teleportation portals that take characters from one place to another in flash. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Lake
The restored body part is colored different from rest of the body, making it obvious it's a new addition. It's a fake part, even if it acts and feels like a normal one and is very close to the original one the person had. There's no blood flowing through the body part, but through magic it mimics the general body temperature of the body (if it needs to). The magic does mimic other things like bones and muscle tissue.
Curses and things that nullify magic can cancel the healing process or completely reverse already healed body parts to the player's choosing. If the body part gets normally injured, magical smoke will escape instead of blood. This smoke ill regenerate itself once the wound is healed. The body part does feel things like pain.
Anyone who has no body parts to recover will just feel energized after spending time in the hot springs.
The only setback to taking a dip in the hot spring and resting is that once they get out, they will attract monsters more likely to them for the next whole day. There are, however, no monsters near the location itself.
New From June 2024 onward, the name of the Lake was changed to Lake Hange, in honor of the person who discovered it and spend time testing what it does.
Maybe it's Mapleline: A mysterious forest that turns anyone partially into a maple monster when they spent too much time there. It's said seasonal power holders are more resistant to it, but eventually the forest's power will affect them, too. The forest is also a good source of high quality maple syrup. (Location description will be expanded when explored)
Mushroom Sanctuary: A sanctuary for different sort of mushrooms. There are medical, poisonous and even fluorescent mushrooms that can be used as lamps. Some mushrooms are even big enough to climb on them. There are some mysteries surrounding the sanctuary that have been unexplored due to people not wanting to spend too much time around the resident creatures that live there.
The Mushroom People living here are actually Fae that want to build an underground Fae Mushroom Kingdom. They occasionally kidnap people to help with their project.
Pumpkin Spice Trail: The floor is lava! Or well, the floor is a swamp that drains anyone's magical energy. Jumping on the giant pumpkins will help you avoid the swamp, but will also leave a taste of various pumpkin spices on their taste buds. The largest pumpkins have some medical berries on top of them, which is why people risk going on the pumpkins and tasting pumpkin spice in everything for the next few days.
Safe Spot: A clearing in the west side of the Flooded Woods that's completely safe, protected by olden magic. In the center of the clearing there's a magical circle. The atmosphere there is very serene and feel safe.
Tapping the magical circle or dropping something on it will summon the ghost of an old man (he can be see by everyone due to the circle magic). He asks if the people would like to hear a story or if they are just taking a break. The ghost tells his name is Mr. Yoshima and he tells them he's a power holder who died due to the "Tragedy". He is one of those who died of "natural causes" after all those who sinned died. He managed to leave his mark here so he could pass on important information for those who came after them.
He explains that those who had made peace with their deaths have turned into spirits that try to help new Power Holders the best they can:
• In Autumn the spirits form shelters from the rains and storm if they manage to spot travelers in need of them.
• In Winter you can always find running, drinkable water among ice, thanks to the spirits.
• In Spring the Tree of Wisdom is actually the spirits giving them advice (even if unfortunately the tree itself is mischievous).
• In Summer the flames may suddenly change color and become harmless if someone is in danger of getting burned.
There aren't all that many spirits doing these things, but it's possible to encounter them. However, he warns that those who weren't at peace when they died may also still be around: but he does not have solid proof of that so he can just advice them to be careful and keep his warning in mind.
As a last thing he says that all the other Segments also have locations where someone has left their magical circle, but the old man unfortunately doesn't know where they are. He just knows they have their own stories to tell and they may be a key to unlocking important information about the World.
Silent Mountains: Mysterious mountains where you can yell at the top of your lungs but there won't be any sort of echo, even if by logic there should be. It seems that all sounds are being absorbed by the mountains, until eventually all sound is lost. Usually anyone who visits the mountains gets their voice back in a few hours away from the mountains. But due to the difficulties of communication, most of the mountains are unexplored.
Area inside the yellow circle on the map is completely silence. Turquoise circle means it's almost completely silent but some light sounds can be heard. White circled areas are just more silent than normal.
(Location description will be expanded when explored)
Silent Mountains Cave: New A labyrinth like cave filled with different colored routes. One (green) leads to a damp cave with glowing moss that eventually leads to a space where voices can be heard. Another (yellow) leads to a teleportation circle (no one is sure where it leads, yet). The last route used to be red with an ominous portal at the end, but it has since vanished.
The Great Tree of Death: A tree that will foresee one's death when they touch it. Sometimes the image that flashes in front of their eyes is the very tree itself... because despite its name, the tree is alive and very moody.
Notable Locations: Map Expansion
(All of the information has been given by dragons, who remember these places from the old days. They note that the crystals appearing in the south are a new addition.)Abandoned Amusement Park: An actual amusement park that was abandoned due to spirits and ghosts possessing the rides; apparently building such thing upset the natural spirits of the world. It remained as such until the Darkness. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Abandoned Wizard's Tower: A tower belonging to one wizard. Unlike its counterpart in the Spring Segment (the Tower of Magic), this tower is only used to store tomes of forgotten, abandoned or forbidden magics. The wizard living there was the sole guardian, but the wards put on the tower kept anyone away. Now in ruins. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Crystal Mines: A source of precious gems and crystals that are especially adaptable for magical enhancements. Multiple different races of dwarfs worked there and protected the place. To become a miner in these mines always meant someone had to go through the dwarf trials to be proven worthy. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Giga Shipwreck: One of the mysteries of Ellipsa. It's very far from the water, so no one is sure how it has gotten there. It's almost as wide as the sea is. No one knows where the ship originally came from. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Liar's Mansion: A manor where lies became the truth and truths became the lies. It was used to put someone through tests to see how trustworthy they were. Unfortunately, it also became a place of psychological torture, which is why it was shut down. (Location description updated upon exploration)
Southern Cold Sea: Southern reaches of a very long sea. This side of the sea used to have ports that were used to ferry good from one side to another. The forests on both side provided with good hunting and foraging grounds. The depths of the sea are unexplored. (Location description updated upon exploration)
THE DARKNESS
After the tragedy that changed Ellipsa, The Darkness formed. The ground is completely black and cracked like a dry land, with lava coming through them. Any creature that lived on the area where Darkness formed was transformed into a monster. The Darkness spread but a barrier was placed at the borders, stopping it from destroying more land.
Creatures can still pass through the barrier, which is why the Seasonal Segments are full of various monsters, powered up by the Darkness' influence. The closer you go to the barrier the stronger the monsters become.
The barrier also doesn't stop the Darkness from spreading dark energy onto the Segments. This energy is what affects monsters, but also can mess with other things like characters' natural powers, some of the older technology and even time itself.

Of course, now he wants to pick one of those oranges, examine it, open it up, smell it... and then if it looks and smells entirely like an otherwise normal orange, lick it. (Despite an “I am not sure this is wise…” from Rider.)
Neither Rider or Xingchen are going to steal the fruits or harm the plants, but are both up for investigating the area (although Xingchen thinks they should move forward soon)- and to be on standby should any misfortune come from Albedo’s investigations…

Albedo also loses one of the hearts under his picture.
(The orange, however, is just a regular orange.)

Xingchen'll get the scent of mountain flowers- and might take a nice deep breath of it before realising the danger. He'll dizzily try and help Albedo as per Rider's request, who doesn't actually need healing, and then help look for the way forward out the room.
Albedo's also pro-leaving the room (if a bit confused why she's asking if he's hurt, and will remark the smell "reminds him of a sweet from home").

As they stand in the hallway, their next choice is a normal, plain hallway made of marble, or an aquarium hallway. It seems the aquariums are full of different kind of fish, both dangerous and safe, swimming in peace.
Neither of the routes bring out a "danger sense" of any kind.

They find that the pathway is safe. However, they come across water on the floor and some broken glass. One of the aquariums is empty. It's full of different aquatic plants and rocks, but there doesn't seem to be anyone inside.
They can either investigate it or just continue on to the door at the end of the hallway.

Rider will keep her distance from the empty aquarium and listen out for the sound of any displaced fish flopping around in case she can help them out...
Meanwhile, Xingchen wants to check out the aquarium. Are the plants okay? 8(
Albedo, naturally, will be using the chance to pick a couple of aquarium plants for samples.

However, the moment anyone steps completely into the aquarium the glass will magically repair itself and the water start pouring back in with a medium force.
no subject
Unfortunately, though, it looks like Xingchen's going to get caught in the aquarium! Rider and Albedo'll be trying to break their way in to get to him- via Rider's monstrous strength and Albedo's sword/geo magic.
Does the glass go from floor to ceiling, or can the aquarium be got into from above?
no subject
Xingchen gets the worst of it, but doesn't suffer a heart loss. But the glass is showing signs of reappearing so they might want to move fast.
There's a light at the end of the hallway.

(Looks like at least Rider and Xingchen are just going to get Octopi hair friends to accompany them for the rest of the quest... it's fine, Rider's used to having snakes for hair, this can't be much different, right?
...They'll have to find some water for them once its done, they'll probably want to keep them!)

The room they run into is a nice, cozy place lined with fluffy pillows and that has towels that they can use to dry themselves up. It's a surprisingly safe place with no visible traps and it may start to feel like they want to take a nice, long nap on the pillows. It's almost like a magical urge.
Or if they can resist the temptation they can investigate the room's various closets and cabinets.

Once the group have dried off, Albedo and Xingchen will take the chance to investigate the closets/cabinets in the room- do they find anything interesting? Albedo is borderline insomniac and has no issue resisting sleep, and Xingchen is a Cultivator with some resistance to the sleep inducing magic, so they should be fine.
Rider on the other hand will have much more trouble fighting the room’s power, she loves a good nap :( Once she’s dried off she’ll stretch out on the pillows for a snooze- hopefully one of the other two will nudge her awake before anything bad happens!

- A set of keys
- A crystal ball
- Sack of beans
All of them have special features, but they will only happen in certain situations. If these situations don't happen during their journey, I will explain what they do if they want to take them with them outside the place.
Meanwhile the pillow will try and absorb Rider. Might be a good idea to drag her off. The little octopus friend tries waking her up, too.

Albedo'll take the crystal ball
Xingchen'll take the sack of beans
Albedo will gently try and wake Rider up, and if that doesn't work, Xingchen'll be picking her up and carrying her out on his back. Hopefully that'll be enough!

They find wooden stairs that lead to a wall. However, the wall has a strange puzzle with actual marbles to move around. The marbles leave lines when moved.

Just to find another door. That happens to have a normal looking keyhole. Luckily, the set of keys they found has several keys but all of them are slightly different from another. They can try three different keys on the lock before it disappears (they're indicated by the flowers symbols over the lock).
no subject
Well, Rider is used to working without her sight and has very good senses, so she might try and 'feel' how to pick the lock open- Meanwhile, Xingchen will want to try the various keys, trying to pay attention to the smallest deviations in fit until he finds the right one.
And if their attempts don't work, Albedo's just going to knock at the door.

They find a staircase full of cats. They're perfectly normal looking ones. They can still walk the stairs, as long as they avoid stepping on any of their tails. There isn't anything else of note in the room.
no subject
Xingchen is of the opinion that the kitties need pets. Rider's going to carefully step around them... and Albedo'll just be scooping up some of the cats and seeing if he can keep them
the hoarder.no subject
Up the stairs they find a door and beyond that, there is a cozy cottage like room with multiple regular cats hanging around. There's an old lady sipping tea in a cozy chair.
"You finally show up. Well, don't make me wait. Sit down. Also drop the cats."

She explains their wish to live in peace, but they don't mind having visitors at all. They even like giving them presents.
With that, she asks them to present the items that are with them. She would like to "evolve" them into their full potential.
no subject
Xingchen will also hand over his items (he had the sack of beans), assuring the witch that their intentions are good and that they mean her and her sisters no harm.
Albedo will start unloading all of the many, many things he hoarded- fruit and plants and an octopus and also the crystal ball he got earlier.
