Preparations they might have: Most of them are experienced adventurers, so they have camping equipment, provisions, etc. with them! A good number of them are combatants who brought their weapons and gear, and many have mounts and/or other forms of fast transport (to cover the distance from the airship station to the mysterious treehouse - hell, maybe one of the big dragons will see them congregating and give them a ride!). Xingchen additionally prepared something like a care package for trees (he's good with plants).
