Locations: City
For locations on the Seasonal Segments, go here.

Click on the image or this link to make the image bigger. It takes around 48 hours to travel the full circle around the city on foot.
Multicultural with various districts that blend together at the seams. Most of the inspirations come from Europe.
For businesses (not mentioned in notable locations) in the city, feel free to check this page or even submit your own!
Transportation around the city:
Teleportation: All city districts have teleportation nodes. It's the fastest way of traveling and takes you to your destination in half a minute. However, this method of traveling will take energy from characters' magic sources. The further away you travel the more exhausted they will be and thus more likely to make mistakes while using powers.
Airships: The biggest airship are used for observational flights above the Segments for people who want to see them and don't want to enter the Segments themselves. There are also airship stations the ships can dock to on each Segment.
Smaller airships can be rented as taxis to travel around the city districts. Those who get a Pilot's License are also allowed to rent or buy (or build, even) their own airships. The license has to be done be official means, at the Law Enforcement Head Quarters, or flying an airship will be considered a crime.

Nightwake
Notable locations: Airship Station, Gacha Restaurant, Law Enforcement Headquarters, Mecha Suit Hangar, Research Center, Riki's Rewards, Shady Rewards Shop
Choice of Transportation: Fancy Cars, Air busses
In the middle of the city is the modern, even futuristic, part, with technology at its finest and bright lights. The district in the middle is just called by the city name and usually when people talk about 'Nightwake' they mean this particular district. A little of all of the other districts leak into the district by the borders, which usually shows up as district-inspired shops and restaurants in the alleys nearby.
All of the weather in the center is artificial due to being in the middle of everything. Nothing "natural" here feels very natural and everyone who feels more comforted by the nature are encouraged to seek out places from the borders of the city instead where various districts offer experiences.
Nightwake is famous for its technology. From holographic billboards to flying busses, this place relies more on technology than magic. As almost everything runs on electricity or magic made fuel, there's little to no pollution. All the artificial lights do make it next to impossible to see the actual starry sky above.
It is also the location of the infamous Red Light Sub-District that has plenty of bars, strip clubs and host clubs waiting for customers to woo into a world of adultery. Unfortunately, it's not an efficient way to get touch energy since most employees are natives... but it does provide for entertainment otherwise.
Notable Locations
Airship Station: A very modern and well maintained place where countless of airships dock. Holographic displays show when and where to catch an airship for various purposes. There are even cafeterias and restaurants, as the view from above is magnificent.
Gacha Restaurant: If you know what Gacha is, you know what's going on here. You You can either choose what style/type of food you want (different cuisines, pizza, junk food, etc) OR pick whatever ingredients you want to eat, and list your allergens before rolling the gacha machine and what comes out is a meal that fits your choices. Most commonly they're mediocre quality (2-3 stars), slightly rarer are the very bad and very good dishes (1 stars and 4 stars) and the rarest of them all is the golden 5 star dish that is the most delicious and sophisticated meal you'll ever taste. But hey, at least the drinks are all the same no matter what meal you end up getting.
Law Enforcement Headquarters: A combination of jails, courtrooms and general offices for all sort of personnel. While the law enforcement does have stations on all of the districts, the main office is where troupes are usually called from through teleportation systems. Jail cells are located both in the underground as well as the top of the building. The building has 30 floors on top of the ground and 10 underground.
Mecha Suit Hangar: Located next to the Research Center is a building where scientists work together to make robots - or mecha suits, to be precise. It's in their belief that it would make exploring the Segments a lot easier if they had mecha suits to protect them so they're trying to make them as life-like and easy to control as possible (and are always looking for volunteers to test them!) So far the mechas can be used in the city area (better the closer to center district you are). The dark energy of the segments renders the mechas impossible to use or drains all of their energy too fast.
Research Center: The most notable building in the district is the huge research center where Otherworlders start their journey. It's both a place to study magic as well as a place to develop technology. Additionally it's also the place where all the weather in the middle district gets determined. The building is, for good reasons, the most highly secured place in all of Ellipsa.
Riki's Rewards: The shop of one of the most famous people in all of Ellipsa. Riki offers useful items to help in exploring the Segments. Usually he's only around as a hologram, but other employees will gladly help with any purchases.
Shady Rewards Shop: A very shady rewards shop near Riki's place that sells cheaper items. They like to call themselves 'Better, Stronger, Cheaper - shop' but authorities call it shady for a good reason. However, they haven't managed to get enough evidence to shut it down.
The Underground Mall
Opened in June 2023, a mall directly under Nightwake city. Every district has gotten an entrance to the mall that fits the aesthetics of the district. There are also various potholes (with comfortable cushions down there) that take you down there as well.
Moving inside the mall is done by escalators and elevators, but there are also regular stairs for those who prefer them.
The fastest way of traveling from floor to floor in the mall is by quick teleport nodes. You choose a floor you want to go to from the list of choices, much like an elevator and then you're transported into that floor's node within seconds. Unfortunately, they're still working out on the bugs in the system, so you may end up in the wrong place - including places that aren't on the list of choices.
Upper floors
A joyous mall with several restaurant and shops you won't see on the surface. The mall is definitely a must visit place for those who appreciate different fashion and exciting food choices. There is also a luxury hotel that's made to look like it's under the sea, even if it really isn't. But they do have giant fish tanks that you can even dive into for a tropical vacation feel.
The mall also has more 'spicy' shops and host clubs tailored after different kinks. It's like the Red Light District on surface level, but with more variety.
Notable Locations
Ufo Catchers: Ufo catchers with all kinds of prizes like pokemon plushies and lots of other plushies, items themed to different season, plushies and other items themed to any fauna and flora from all around Ellipsa, puzzles, food themed items etc etc.
Vending Machine corner: There are all sorts of vending machines lined up in their own, huge corner. You can find the usual ones with all sorts of different snacks, food and drinks, but there are also some with cake, cookies, mayonnaise, cream, flowers, engagement rings and other less usual but normal things. Nothing here is randomized, unless you choose the random option from the machine, otherwise you get exactly what you want. So pick your favorites or try something new, that sounds more or less good! There is a machine near the corner where you can exchange moon coins for vending machine tokens.
VR Arcade: This Arcade focuses on games that are played with VR goggles on. Even your regular DDR machine will now take you to dance in different environments and feel like you're dancing for your life or for an actual audience.
Lower floors
CW/TW: Cursed things, Organized Crime, Illegal Activities
The lowest levels of the mall are only accessible by random quick teleport nodes around the mall (if you know you know is the motto with these). You can run into them on accident (they're usually hidden, but they can always have been sloppily left visible to anyone) and they sometimes immediately just teleport people without any warning. The arrival can be in various places. A random shady hallway, in the middle of the floor, in a shady establishment and so on.
Anything that seems shady can be found from these floors. Even the local diners here are very weird and likely have illegal things on the menu. Clothing stores sell all kinds of clothes fit for thieves and assassins and the amount of weapons shops here is twice the amount than on the surface.
Most notable things about the lower floors are the big Casino, run by four different organized crime groups (minor NPC page for more info on them) and the cursed vending machine corner.
Notable Locations
Casino: The Casino is divided into four different sections; All of them are dominated by an organized crime group. This is the only area of the underground they work together in peace and sometimes come relax. Losing in this Casino can mean being taken to the back rooms by whichever group's area you ended up losing in. They will offer to let you go if you can pay off your debt you made in the Casino, but they have other options of compensation. For games you have your basic card games, roulette, pool & darts and slot games.
Cursed Vending Machine corner: The food vending machines are full of different "eatable" bugs with half-hearted warnings that they may or may not be poisonous (they didn't really check before putting them packaging), Mystery Food boxes (includes some very suspicious foods that don't look edible, but are actually alright in taste? But may contain some side effects like growing mushrooms out of your hair if you eat the mushroom ones), ones that is labeled Energy Drinks but all of them look more like creepy potions (they provide energy but at the cost of poisoning someone for 24 hours) and hyper realistic cakes that look like various body parts (the cake part is intentionally written in small print). Other vending machines have various shark eggs (hatching them will provide a magical shark with little hands and legs that invades the first watery surface it finds and bites whoever comes too close - it does not belong as a pet, but one may try to tame one), Mystery Boxes (with anything from highly cursed jewelry to books that suck your soul if written into) and Cheat Slips (it's said these slips will let you master a skill immediately, but all it does is cause one's powers to go berserk for 2 hours).

Frostreign
Notable locations: Ice Castle, Sauna Spa, Winter Guild
Choice of Transportation: Husky or Reindeer rides
The winter segment makes this district a cold place with very unpredictable weather. The district is very close to what you might find in Northernmost Europe - especially in Lapland. There aren't many buildings here, but there is plenty of space to build your own places should a more quiet life interest you. The closer you get to the winter segment the less buildings there are and the colder it gets.
While living here is a hard task, the natives here are kind and help anyone who decides to stop by. They even offer shelter, as the district only has one inn and it's usually full. There are also some hills where locals host skii and snowboard jump competitions whenever they please. Another popular spot is the ice hole that has been formed into the center of the district where some brave souls go swimming - before running to the Sauna Spa area.
Husky and Reindeer are the best way to move through the snow, but skiing is also very popular. There are a few snowmobiles available for those who really need them, but the natives prefer more "natural" ways of travel.
Notable Locations
Ice Castle: A giant ice castle located in the center of the town (next to the great hole in the ice). It's a popular place for kids to play in as the nevermelting ice provides good hide and seek spots. Another popular use for the castle is dates, as the natural magical crystal lights inside the castle make the place look romantic. The same magical crystals can be harvested here to act as sources of light even in the darkest of places.
Sauna Spa: Area full of saunas. An essential spot for relaxing and warming up. It doubles up as the inn and reservations need to be made in advance if you want to stay for a few nights. Some guests have made igloos outside that can also be slept in if someone really wants to. In addition to a warm sauna, anyone can enjoy a lovely massage or get into a hot tub for a relaxing bath.
Winter Guild: Guild building is made out of stone and has several floors for different purposes. There are plenty of warm blankets on furniture to those who need them, as the building is always rather cold. More info on guilds.
Coldreach
Notable locations: Brewery, Observatory
Choice of Transportation: Cable Cars
Coldreach is a very nature friendly district. While the weather can be a little unpredictable, there's also a lot of potential to grow different kinds of cold-withstanding plants that can be used for medicine and spicing food. It's also a place where animals tend to wander around without a care.
The scenery resembles a mountainous region a lot, despite there not being mountains nearby. There are hills and they make for some challenging walks. The buildings all look like cozy mountain cottages and give one a feeling that you're on the alps - especially when there are weeks worth of snowfall from time to time.
The district is also famous for its bars as the it's the number one source of good beer and other alcoholic beverages. A lot of the city's alcohol is from here.
Notable Locations
Brewery: Want a custom drink? You've come to the right place. The brewery lets customers decide the flavor of their drinks and won't stop developing it until they're fully satisfied. It's the sure way to find something close to home.
Observatory: On the highest hill lies an observatory. It's a good place to do some astronomy and find information about the stars in the skies of Ellipsa. So far they've mostly let people name stars or constellations but haven't really made any breakthroughs.

The District of Eternal Winter

Winter moves towards Spring

Blossomcrown
Notable locations: Botanical Garden, Concert Venue, SEAKEA, Spring Guild
Choice of Transportation: Trams, Cars
Blossomcrown is a concrete jungle surrounding a central park in the middle. The park is very popular as it gives much needed peace and quiet from the busy streets of the district. It's both very green and has plenty of spring flowers with a shallow pond in the middle.
On the side of the streets, cherry blossom trees have been planted to give some color for the otherwise gray scenery. It doesn't help a lot, but it's a beautiful thought nonetheless. All of the buildings are high and host multiple businesses and shops all around the district.
While life in Blossomcrown can be rather hectic, there are a lot of good sides to living here. Like cheap rent and the tram system that lets you circle around the district with ease. Sometimes the streets are beautifully covered in pink due to wind covering them with cherry blossom petals (which isn't very fun if you're in charge of cleaning the streets).
Notable Locations
Botanical Garden: The Botanical Garden is located at the edge of the central park. It's a home to many exotic plants that can't be grown anywhere else (that's safe, at least). There are also plenty of butterflies and bees living in the gardens. Attached to the building it also a flower shop where anyone can purchase a plant for themselves - they're even divided by suitability for each district.
Concert Venue: An arena made for holding concerts. It can be transformed into both an outdoor and indoor venue by opening or closing the roof. Anyone can book the venue to hold a concert as long as they have the funds to do it. They will even advertise your concert for you everywhere. Famous performer Riki does a concert here bimonthly.
SEAKEA: Seasons version of IKEA. A labyrinth of furniture and other useful things for living. Most furniture needs to be assembled by the customers themselves. The cafeteria serves great meatballs (also comes in vegan flavor).
Spring Guild: Guild building is made out of wood and has several floors for different purposes. There's a lot of flora around the guild as decorations. More info on guilds.
Dayrise
Notable locations: Grand Colosseum, Public Bath Central
Choice of Transportation: Chariots
The place looks like you've stepped into the past. It resembles Ancient Rome or Greece quite a bit with the roads and buildings made out of stone and the architecture in general. People also tend to walk around in light toga-like clothes and ride chariots to get where they want fast.
The district has a bold sort of feeling. People have no problems getting into a muscle comparing competition in the middle of the road or starting a duel out of nowhere. Most of it seems to be done in a light, cheerful tone if anything, but sometimes the fighting does get serious and authorities have to get involved.
Sports, philosophy and sheer strength are what drive the people Dayrise forward, but they're usually friendly to anyone who doesn't want to get into their shenanigans. Just don't talk bad about anything they believe in and you're going to be fine.
Notable Locations
Grand Colosseum: A giant, round building made of stone that has an arena in the middle and plenty of seats for audience. The colosseum is often used for sports competitions, but more importantly it's a place for people to freely practice their fighting skills. However, if someone wants privacy while training they might want to go somewhere else as the place will likely get an audience no matter what time of the day it is.
Public Bath Central: The baths in Dayrise are so luxurious that people come to visit them from far. They're all public baths and none of the natives are ashamed of being naked for hours with strangers. There are five major baths: for families, for just kids, for women, for men and for mixed gender. There's usually always someone taking a bath so trying to find a time for a private one is next to impossible. The natives will also encourage anyone coming with a towel to throw it away.

Solarpeak
Notable locations: Giant Sand Castle, Mega Waterland, Summer Guild, The Board Place
Choice of Transportation: Roller skates, Boats
The people of Solarpeak only had one thing in mind when building it: beaches. One third of the district is covered in a pool that can be used as a way of travel or to just swim in. It doesn't connect to the river surrounding the city. The pool itself is surrounded by white sand that works as a beach.
The houses in Solarpeak are either very, very bright colored or white. They're usually located on the areas that aren't covered in sand, but some houses (or as the natives call them, "beach houses") are set up near the pool. There are also plenty of shades built so people can escape the sun.
All of the food in the district is made so can eat them by hand to make things more convenient (they like to call it "street food"). Littering is taken very seriously and there are specially trained canines that will hunt whoever littered and bark at them until they pick up their trash.
Notable Locations
Giant Sand Castle: This Sand Castle was built by someone who wanted to make themselves an unique place to live in. However they quickly realized this was a bad idea in so many ways and abandoned their project. Eventually it became a project for the natives to make it a playground for kids and a place to cool down from the scorching sun. Some unique sand can be found inside that makes anyone who walks on it float for as long as there are grains stuck in their bare feet. Sometimes there's a project to get people off the ceiling by sweeping their feet with a broom...
Mega Waterland: A place for everyone to have fun and relax. A water park opened in June 2024, offering a good variety of different attractions and events with only 10 moon coins per ticket! Also includes the Mega Mega Karting Race building, a real life video game-like karting experience that happens in the skies of Nightwake.
Summer Guild: Guild building is made out of stone and has several floors for different purposes. There are plenty of refreshments and fans all around the guild as the temperatures inside are rather warm. More info on guilds.
The Board Place: A giant shop that sells boards. Skateboards, surfboards and basically anything that can be a board. There are also hoverboards but those aren't for sale. Instead customers are paid to be a tester of a hover board that runs solely on magic and sheer will. They also develop new kinds of boards all the time.
Sunwaning
Notable locations: Theatre, Weapon Training HQ
Choice of Transportation: Horses
The district lies between the summer and autumn segments, making the weather a little less predictable and sometimes even cold in the evenings. A beautiful Asian style district that partly looks like you've walked into an old Japanese town. There are also some more "modern" buildings on the closer you get to the city center district.
The biggest attractions around here are the hot springs that are said to have healing properties (but no one has really confirmed it). There are several springs with an inn that is run by an old couple. It's a place of relaxation and peace.
Another thing that draws people into this particular district is the fashion. A lot of famous clothes shops can be found here and there are a lot of different styles from different districts.
Notable Locations
Theatre: A huge theater with a lot of different stages for various different styles of plays. This place is always looking for new acting talents and has plays almost every weekend. The theater leader treats anyone who joins like family and will teach any and all tricks he might have up his sleeves.
Weapon Training HQ: A place where you can learn from the best weapon masters Ellipsa has. They're eager to always take on new students to pass their skills onto and even compete with one another on whose student becomes the next best user of their weapon. If they're impressed enough, they might even ask someone to stay and teach them instead.

Amberfall
Notable locations: Autumn Guild, Library, Magical Manor, Underground Library
Choice of Transportation: Bicycles
This district is something between a town and a village. It's not as fancy as some of the other districts, but it's not quite as old fashioned as some others. While the district isn't completely opposed to technology, it definitely has a preference towards magical methods.
Amberfall is also very artsy. There are statues all over the district, the biggest one (of a fairy queen) being on top of a fountain. There are also art galleries and ateliers around town. While the locals love magic, they never mix magic and arts as they have too much pride as artists for that.
It's also the district for literature. Various bookshop and cafes with books can be found here and there are even small workshop for potential writers to participate in.
Notable Locations
Autumn Guild: Guild building is made out of wood and has several floors for different purposes. The interior mostly resembles a cottage and hasn't been made to look very personal like the other guilds. More info on guilds.
Library: A giant library with a lot of mystery surrounding it. It's said that any book you're looking for can be found from here, but that some books require you first to be lost in the various hallways of the library. Luckily the library is inhabited by fairies that will help those who get lost. They, however, can also make someone even more lost if they're not nice to the books. More info.
Magical Manor: A house of magic. The perfect place for anyone who wants to learn enhance items and create things our of provided materials. There are plenty of donated items that can be used for enhancements as well as various materials for making new items.
Underground Library: An ancient, magical library that evacuated itself underneath Amberfall Library when the darkness came. Discovered in May 2024. Ancient knowledge can be found there, dating to before the Darkness came. All of the vitally important information has already been found, but there's plenty of other stuff there (like fancy Ellipsan recipes).
Stormreach
Notable locations: Crystal Shop, Tower of Potions
Choice of Transportation: Horse Carriages
The district resembles a small and cozy village. The temperatures are cold, but people wear thick layers of clothes to manage. Most of the ground is made of either stone or just dirt, making the scenery look very down-to-earth. Many who focus on magic enjoy getting inspired by the village.
There's not a lot of technology in Stormreach. People solely depend on magic and are proud to do so. Everyone does own a smartphone but that's usually it. It's not unusual to see someone making elaborate items in a street corner with magic or testing out a potion on something like a rock.
The clock tower is a known hotspot for lovers as the legend claims that those who kiss on top of it are destined to never breakup. However, it's not very clear if they meant just the sightseeing balcony or at the peak and no one's really truly tested it.
Notable Locations
Crystal Shop: This shops sells a selection of crystals. Most of them are for decoration purposes, but there's a section for magical boosts and healing properties that are quite expensive as they're hard to come by these days. The shop keeper will talk for days about what each crystal means.
Tower of Potions: The reason this district has so much greenery is due to Tower of Potions. The members of the tower didn't want to travel too long to get herbs, so they first made potions that help plants withstand the cold and dark weathers. They give the potion for free for residents in exchange of free herbs. The tower does research on potions and is always developing new ones to aid with Ellipsa's restoration.
