Avoiding the Werewolves is a good idea. As it's close to full moon, killing or even hurting them is nearly impossible. They are also cloaked in the dark energy that's all around the border, making canon abilities less effective on them as well.

There's an icy pathway leading up to the bridge. It's very steep and slippery, but should still be alright to climb.

It's the bridge that's a bigger problem because it's very unstable and falling apart due to being halfway into the Darkness. So watch your step as you travel across it or you might fall.
