During the daytime, the danger level of the foothills isn't particularly big; there are some normal wolves around, hunting for prey, but they most stay away from people since the hunting grounds are plentiful of prey animals even without them.

There are, however, some small caverns in the foothills that will provide another interesting ingredient; the melt-me-nots. They're a rare variant of forget-me-not flowers and always stay in a frosty bloom and is convenient for things that you need to keep cold and for potions that upgrade Winter Power Holder powers.

The twist here is that one in five of the flowers is a Pretender Flower. An ice monster that pretend to be one of the melt-me-nots and instead it looking to take a bite out of anyone who carelessly tries to pick any of the flowers. Once they get a hold of something it's like having a cepo with sharp fangs on you. It's not a surprise they're weak to fire, but they will cling onto something until they die instead of letting go out of fear.

The Earthquakes near the Wolf's Blood Mountains are also a danger; they easily crack the ground/ice around it, making dangerous fall possible. If you would rather say there are no earthquakes while they are there, that is also fine.

During the nighttime, if the group stays at foothills, most they will hear is the werewolves howling. As long as they stay out of the mountains themselves, they won't encounter them. That is, until they get to the bridge behind the mountains. But we will go into what's there in the next comment.

Are there any questions/comments on the information so far?
