Using Seismic Sense, Reiner guides Hijikata around the various traps. Hijikata carefully follows. When they reach the end of the hallway, they prepare themselves for a battle. Reiner once again reaches out telepathically to ask Jean to kick something; nothing happens.

Reiner pales slightly, then says to Hijikata: "Watch my body." Then he's off, using Astral Projection to go and check the situation ahead. He wants to get a look at the monster and see what condition Jean is in.
