The Water Fairy explains he used some kind of a spell to make them shrink. Otherwise he used brute force to break through their defenses. They were only able to protect the last one from him by making the statue disappear for a while.
Several of the fairies are still healing from the attack, so healing would be appreciated quite a bit.
As for the properties, there are ancient fairy magics in the statues that can alter the reality when used together. Even on their own they can cause horrible damage to the environment, depending on which statue is used. The Water Fairies have guarded these statues for a long time, even during the Darkness overshadowing the lake, but the darkness most likely sapped the protective magics enough to make the Knight bypass them (or he had help from someone).
They could build a device that has a residue of the remaining statues energy to locate the others. All of their magic readings are similar after all.
They would love to get a stronger barrier to defend the statue. Similar to the one protecting Ellipsa or Nightwake, perhaps. But they have no idea how to go about it.
