Amy and Hijikata are visible frustrated - all these trials, and for what?! (Granted, at least they weren't fae trials!) Hijikata demands an explanation of how the tree can have been there all along, presumably accessibly since the first otherworlders arrived on Ellipsa, when the text discovered in the magical library said it was lost to the Darkness.
