The golden liquid is pushed elsewhere to turn other things golden. The hallway and the platforms remain golden, as does anything else the liquid touched. However, the hallway can be crossed now.

The remaining snake statues remain normal. Two of them have switches that could have been clicked but weren't. One of them has eyes made of emerald: the only one that has different eyes like this.

These emeralds are a perfect fit on the door at the end of the hallway and seem to be missing from the circle of emeralds.
