At least the tentacles are pretty easy to avoid, since it's easy to see them from further away. If they don't get too close, they won't trigger them to move.

Otherwise, they occasionally find small trinkets from the hallways - like necklaces, cold coings, tiaras and other shiny treasure-like things. They're scattered all over and at the end of one hallway, there's even more of them. The hallway seems to lead somewhere "outside".

But there's also a hallway that seems to be going towards the way the came from.
