Starting from D means they will encounter a group of Warhogs.
While many think the name is a typo, they're wrong. These are warthogs, definitely, but they're warthogs with battle armor. Some of them even have spikes in their armor and roll into their opponents. Luckily, they don't usually attack unless they're provoked somehow.
They won't hear you approaching due to the nature of the mountain, so they're not provoked and instead continue munching on some fresh grass found from near the mountain. Unless they provoke the Warhogs somehow. So their first encounter is by default safe.
They may find some cloudberries and truffles nearby. Both of them reek of magical energy. Eating a cloudberry will make the person feel light as a cloud and give them an ability to jump really high; truffles do the opposite, making someone very heavy and unable to jump.
In the clearing between the two mountains, they will find a crack on the ground. Inside the crack smells weirdly salty and feels very cold. It's big enough for a small animal to pass through, but not a human or a wolf. Do they want to investigate the crack further or carry on?
