The cries and whines have ceased in the morning and there are no signs of whatever might have caused it. Instead if they listen closely they will be able to hear gentle whispering in the winds. The messages alternate between "leave it's dangerous" and "go west, seek for answers" said in various different ways, tones and voices (ranging from old and young voices).

They do now have a choice to make. Which direction will they take from here? All the routes seem the same. If Reiner uses his seismic sense he can feel something moving in the north and in the east, but nothing in the south or west.
