The Slime seems to favor the steaming titan carcass first, but it does turn its attention to the titan spikes since they seem more permanent of a substance. The more it eats the bigger it gets, and now instead of a spear it has the head of a hammer as a weapon.

Which it throws spits at them with a very strong force.
