The peach leaves them after growing legs and hands - to be returned on a later date :) The pebble, however, will just be there. Like nothing happened.
They manage to find the second path. There they will find another boat (or actually: the same boat they left at the treehouse). At that end they will find an all-natural hot spring among the trees. It seems like a normal hot spring, nothing suspicious about it, at least from a quick glance.
If they throw something into the hot spring nothing happens.
If they touch the hot spring, their smaller wounds will heal and they will feel energized.
There are no monsters in the hot spring either.
The only setback to taking a dip in the hot spring and resting is that once they get out, they will attract monsters more likely to them for the next whole day, but with all the energy they get from the spring it shouldn't be a problem for them.
