It's so, so very long. It feels like it goes on forever. Her flaming arrow has a chance of turning on torches in its wake that have been left there! And there are no traps, at least on this end of the hallway.

After ~ an hour of walking they should finally manage to trigger a boobytrap, if the penguin is still around. It's a cage that will descend (on the penguin). It's possible to destroy the cage, however.

After that cage there's a ladder going up.
